Once again, Aunty does not fails to deliver. Her vast selection of onolicious soup bases, which come in different levels of spicy, to choose from will get you off to a good start, next you select you choice of protein, then hit the refrigerators to select all the add ons that could imagine, and many that you can't (in a very, very good and fun way). The hot soup is brought to your table where you have you very own hot plate to keep the soup to your desired temperature. From there, let the food party begin!
You have all kinds of choices when it comes to what you can add to your hot soup, starting with some kind of noodles - udon, bean thread, ramen, and long rice. There a variety of vegetables - lettuce, choi sum, bean sprouts, ong choi, broccoli, wonbok and much more. There some of the old favorites like puff tofu, kabocha, friend tofu, squid nuggets, quail eggs, chicken ball, beef ball, etc. We cannot forget the great selection of seafoods up grabs as well, shrimp, squid, snow crab cluster, shelled crab, mussels, scallps, clams, basa, octopus, tofu fishball, fish cake, Let's also add in some of the local favorites - spam, hotdog, and kamaboko!
Let's not forget about the fabulous sauce bar either. You've got 12 different sauces to choose from which ranges from shoyu to the House Ponzu sauce, as well as a crowd favorit - the Ginger Garlic Sauce, although I'm partial to the Garlic Butter. This doesn't even include the sauces sauces that come with some of the ala carte items, such as the Giant Pork Chop. The Pork Belly Bao is out of this world, just make sure that you put the crispy chip in right before you feast on them.
I almost forgot to mention that there's not beer on tap, soju, whiskey, her own Real Fruit Ice Tea, and soda.
Aunty then finishes it up with shave ice topped with some boba balls, brown sugar, and crushed pineapples. It was a just right amount of sweetness to end a more than satisfying meal.
I happily over ate and will be back over and over again. Nothing like some comfort food for the...
Read moreWe enjoyed our first time experience here! Our family of 10 decided to have our dinner get together. We were there early at 5p and the staff were able to accommodate our party.
Food: This is an AYCE hot pot place. Great selection of meat and high quality as well. The vegetables, noodles and seafood selection is high quality and fresh.
Great selection of broth. From beef, chicken, seafood, tonkutsu and you can customize the spice level. Be warned: Spice Level 1 is FIRE 🔥! The broth is bit the best, may need some work in my opinion.
But what I loved is that you get your individual pot and you can add and customize to your liking.
Atmosphere : Lively and Vibrant but feels relax and homey. I love Aunty who is helping the staff, talking to the customer. She made everyone feels welcomed.
Service: Top Notch! Great attentive service even when they got busier later in the evening. She is a great host, made our evening a wonderful experience. Aunty made the whole restaurant sing Happy Birthday to my sister. And we got a big bowl of shave ice after our meal.
Highly Recommended and we will come back for sure. This place really value...
Read moreAn a la carte hotpot in a shopping plaza. You can pick your favorite soup base from many choices. Today, I tried the chicken garlic soup, and it was good. I only ordered one beef tongue plate today and opted for the veggies and other ingredients from the refrigerators. Each plate was color coded to indicate its price (from $4 - $7). There were also many choices for sauces. Today I tried a couple sauces that I’d never had in a hot pot restaurant, namely the butter garlic (similar to what I would use with a steamed lobster meal) and the ginger onion in oil (which was akin to Hainan Chicken sauce). Both were good, but I still prefer the ponzu sauce. The service was excellent as noted by other reviewers and we actually met the “Aunty”, who warmly greeted us. At the end, we were treated with Taiwanese shaved ice that was as good as those we had when we visited Taiwan in the past. One improvement can be made here is to add more fresh vegetable varieties. This is an excellent choice for hot pots especially if you don’t want to do the all you can...
