Got'z Grindz — Restaurant in Oʻahu

While visiting Hawaii, my husband and I decided to explore the less touristy side of Oahu and was ready for lunch and stumbled upon Got'z Grindz online! It was a bit difficult to find, you really have to drive slow when you’re on the street so you don’t miss the building. Seeing the exterior you wouldn't expect to find so many different kinds of musubis neatly organized and displayed, plus we were greeted by a wonderful aroma and friendly staff!

There were SO many musubis to choose from, not to mention the amazing smell coming from their beef stew, beef curry, gyudon, and more! We finally decided on Gyudon (Beef bowl), Spicy Tuna Musubi, and Tuna Takuan Furikake Inari. The beef in the gyudon was so soft and tender, the spicy tuna musubi was just the right amount of spicy and had nice soft fluffy rice, and the tuna inari was something new that I tried, and had some interesting flavors but all in all tastes great! Everything was so flavorful, so delicious, the portions were very generous and the prices were super affordable! Not to mention there's so many different options that you'll have to go back a few more times to try everything!

Since the spot is more of a grab and go kind of place, the lady who helped us kindly recommended a nearby botanical garden which was great because musubis are the perfect for picnics! We will definitely be back next time we visit Hawaii, Got'z Grindz is a must visit for musubi lovers or anyone looking to try local...

Oh my gosh this is a little grab and go shop with BIG flavors and delicious musubi options. The menu offers a huge selection and if you don't see what you want, they can customize the items for you. Super friendly customer service and the shop was steadily busy around lunch time. We tried a wide variety of musubis and everything was absolutely delicious. There's a few other bowl/noodle options too which were tasty but not the highlight. You know what WAS freaking amazing though, the frozen creme brulee. You CANNOT pass this up. It's so delightfully creamy and as a self-proclaimed connoisseur of creme brulee, it checked ALL THE BOXES and you eat it when it's an ice cream-like consistency. I already want to go back for...

While searching the internet for good beef stew on the Windward side I found this place. Drove past alot but always thought it was closed. Went in for the first time and my eyes lit up as well as my stomach...lol. It was recommended to try the Beef Curry and maybe try the Beef Stew next time. The lady said it was a little different from the local style but it was worth it! The Beef Curry and vegetables melted in my mouth it was so ono! I am definitely coming back to try whatever I can...maybe that special Beef Stew. The Potato Salad and Chicken Karaage was also ono. I sampled it with my bowl of Beef Curry. Food was delicious and not oily at all! Gotz to stop by and try the Grindz...
