On 10/18/24 around 2:15pm I walked in for a fresh juice. The music was a bit loud but not offensive. As I walked up to the counter I noticed 4 girls working on orders. No one greeted me. It wasn’t there very long then a girl came from in the back and asked me how she could help me. No greeting. No how are you today. I asked for a custom juice and the girl looked confused. She fumbled through some laminated papers on the counter but still looked confused. She looked up at the 4 other girls but didn't ask them for help. Those girls were deep in conversation about something that happened the night before. I looked up at the menu and asked if I could have the detoxifier but if she could replace the Apple with lemon juice instead. Again she looked confused and was pressing the computer screen looking for an option. Finally I said never mind just give me the detoxifier, it’s ok. I don’t think my request was that hard but obviously they are not allowed to deviate from the menu. I felt for $12.00 they should have accommodated my simple request. My name was called but I could barely hear it because of the volume of the music. I walked up to the pick up counter and grabbed my juice and said thank you sort of loud but there was no response from the 4 girls still deep in their personal conversation. This was my first time to Nalu but I think I will choose a different place to get my juice next time I’m in Kailua. Suggestion: have a customer service training session with your girls. They would have gotten a tip from me if I felt welcomed and that someone cared that I was spending $12.00 on a...

I recently had the pleasure of stopping by Nalu Health Bar and Café for a quick breakfast, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! Their breakfast sandwich was the star of the show - perfectly toasted bread, a fresh, fluffy egg, crispy bacon, and just the right amount of cheese melted to perfection. What really impressed me was how the ingredients were clearly fresh and of high quality, making every bite satisfying and wholesome.

Pairing the sandwich with their coffee was a match made in heaven. The coffee was rich, smooth, and had that comforting warmth that only a well-made cup can provide. It complemented the sandwich beautifully without overpowering it, enhancing the overall breakfast experience.

We’ve been to Oahu twice and we discovered this place because it was close to a hike we did. Food is great but the second time we came here, we ordered food and wanted to pay cash and they didn’t have change and I ended up going to get change. Came back, paid and waited for our food. Then we realize that another couple took our food by mistake and five minutes later they come inside and left our food on the counter and take their food. I notice that and tell the girls in front that I’d like our food to be remade since I don’t know what the other couple did when they grabbed the food by mistake. The three girls in the front had a confused look to their face and one went to the back and the chef came out. She had an attitude and all I asked to please make sure to make the food from scratch. They gave us attitude and apparently made “new” sandwiches. I honestly wouldn’t go back to this place even though their food is good. Next time make sure that your customers are taking the correct food and if someone needs change, step out and find change and don’t expect the customer...
