This place has decent food. This place has some friendly staff and some less than friendly staff. These are not the problems here. The problems with this restaurant are:1. Underseasoned or wholly unseasoned food. Honestly, the first time I think I've ever been served unseasoned potatoes outside of a hospital. 2. Exorbitant prices! My son and I just ate there, with a $10 off deal and spent $36 after their system added on a default $7 at the time of order! This practice belies the real problem with app based in-store ordering and a tipped staff system. If I am just ordering, then I can't appropriately judge how much is an appropriate tip as I haven't yet been served! Alas, I'm certain I could have opted out of this, but I missed it buried in the UI of the app I had to download to order. Third, the entire app based system alongside the bolted down tables in a modern diner model meant that my family of four had to sit at two separate tables. We met no staff until our drinks came out some 10-15 minutes after we placed our separate orders. The experience comes off as if it were designed by a website programmer and a cardiologist. Read moreI wanted to inform management, since staff refused to allow me to speak to one, that on Sunday 4/3/22 service was horrendous at your Waimalu location. I called @8:30ish AM to place a take-out order for a party of 9. I called numerous times and finally got thru after the 50ish attempt. The employee informed me that it would be a 30 minute wait for food, which I understood and accepted, and was then again placed on hold...12 minutes later, after holding the entire time I was then hung up on. When I attempted to call back again and finally got thru after i was continually hung up on. After the frustration, 20 minutes later I got thru and requested to speak to a manager, which I was flat out told "No!" and hung up on yet again. This was truly a horrible customer service experience, and will not be dining here again. This is a sad conclusion to what was a long time dining relationship with this establishment. I had banana waffle with whip cream It was good 😍, you won’t need teeth to eat this. That and hot coffee was $20 I wish they allow to add whip cream on pancake for the early bird special Early bird special seems real good deal
We were just unlucky that a couple ladies decided to sit right next to us , which I mean, table that’s 3in away from me 😧 not kidding . So yes we can hear their story, and 1 of them keep coughing. Oh gush There were few other tables open and I just don’t understand why people do that 🙄 But ohhh well I didn’t want to say anything
