This review is only for Pokemon Trading Cards. Do not try to get any pokemon cards here on the release date.
Unlike GameStop, the logistic of the Best Buy in Honolulu is a total mess and a disastrous failure.
Especially for the major special sets release like the Prismatic Evolutions Super Premium Collections and the Black Bolts and White Flare, you take leave to spend your whole morning waiting outside of the door on the release date only to hear that they have 1 or 2 tins came in the entire store from their shipment.
They claimed they will have the full release dates inventory when the next shipment comes in, but that’s meaningless to you if you have a job and can’t just take another leave the next day or two again to play the waiting game.
Since GameStop on the island never have any problem with getting their shipment on time for the official PTCG set release dates, there are only two possible reasons why this Best Buy cannot keep up with getting their shipment on time.
The first possible reason is that their logistic system is actually a failure, or at least inferior than that of the GameStop’s.
Or, the second possible reason is that the shipment came in on time, but the manager is holding on the inventory during the release dates, so everyone waiting on the long line outside cannot get anything. Then on the next few days when there’s no longer a long line of Pokemon enthusiasts waiting outside, the manager can tell his or her friends and family to line up in the morning to get the product easily without dealing with waiting on the long line during the official release dates.
These are only my deductive reasonings on why this Best Buy failed their job. I don not have any fact to prove them right or wrong. However, regardless of whether my assumption is right or wrong, it cannot change the fact that they never have their Pokemon product available on the official release dates. So, don’t waste your time on them, otherwise you find nothing but disappointment.
But other than that, things are ok. Their frontline staff are friendly and helpful, unlike their logistic and...
Read moreWent in today to buy some last minute gift. Ask for help at the apple section to buy a magic keyboard. The team member did not bother to walk towards me to see what I'm looking for, he just shouted form a distance and proceeded to look on his tablet then walk away without saying anything to me. So I just stood there and wondering what's going on. A few minutes after he came back to tell me that it's in the front WTH? I then told him that I have another item I would like to buy and he irritatedlly replied "its in the front". I guess I made him mad for shopping at Best Buy Aiea! I was gonna buy more stuff but I stop before I make someone else mad. I shop here a lot and buy big items every time I do. We always use our bestbuy credit card and they would always look it up for me as I don't usually carry it with me. But this time it's different, they could not find it with just my information. So after standing in line to pay, I have to go back home and get my card that has my name on it. No big deal, I understand. But when I came back and finally pay for my items the security that checks receipts fails to ask for my receipt until I'm already outside, again no big deal. I showed him my receipt and he looked at me and tell me that I looked grouchy and why I look grouchy. Well I guess it's very professional of him to ask such a rude and very personal question to someone that he don't even know. Was I supposed to be scared that he is a big man and that he can talk to whoever and however he wants? If Bestbuy even read this or cares of what's goes on in your store in Aiea, maybe a little more professional approach with every customer would be nice and leave the personal questions out of your Team members business. I did not ask anyone to hold my hand when I went shopping, I just ask for the items I want to buy and spend my money on. It's holiday season and I understand that the store is busy but spreading a holiday spirit would be nice not rudeness and sarcasm!!! Overall, I'm very upset and disappointed of my shopping experience at your Bestbuy...
Read moreBest Buy lost a customer for life. I ordered a new phone and smart watch online thru Best Buy and chose in store pickup. They had the best deal for cyber monday, and all items showed in stock. A few days after initial order (figured they were busy) the watch was ready for pickup. I asked about the phone, they said it wasn't ready yet, just wait for the email. 10 days after purchase it was finally listed as ready for pickup. So I went after work that day, and apparently the phone was missing. Three employees tried to track it down, or figure out what to do while I stood at the counter for two hours. They finally grabbed another phone, and explained the old order had to be cancelled, and a new phone order created. Problem? Their mobile service was backed up and it would've taken hours longer. So they offered an appointment in mobile service the next day. I was patient thru this whole process and understand mistakes are made despite my disappointment in their lack of organization. Came back the next day, 10 mins early even. I was brought over to the mobile activation counter by an employee that remembered the problems we faced the day before. Mobile activation employees were with other customers. Lady at counter said "be with you in 5 minutes". After I waited for 45 minutes past my "appointment" while they talked story with their customers, I had to just walk out. Called the store to complain after I got home and cooled down a little, their answers didn't make me feel any better. "I'm sorry this happend, we'll mention this to management" No attempt to even fix the issue or try to keep me as a customer. Returning the watch now too, as I'd rather bring my business elsewhere. I used to try to buy more items thru actual stores I can go to such as Best Buy, as I know what Amazon is doing to retail and hurting jobs. But when you waste two full afternoons of my life after long days at work? I'm over it, I should've just had it delivered. Would've been at my...
