Raising Cane’s Pearl City.
My 1 star drive-thru review.
First, I want to say that their sweet tea is fantastic, and their chicken fingers are exceptional.
Now, the drive-thru. The first time I went through it, it was slow, but I thought it was just early, so I didn’t think too much about it.
Tonight, I went through the drive-thru, and it was excruciatingly painful waiting. I thought everyone ahead of me was ordering everything from the menu, but I only saw an order or two—that’s it.
It took about 10 minutes from the time I paid for my two orders of the three-finger combo to the time it was handed to me. I thought it might be ready at the window by the time I got there.
Anyway, out of frustration, I may have a sour face, and one of the older people waved at me and tried to make light of the situation. She asked how I was, and I told her it’s been a long day. And I commented, “This place turned into Jack In The Box.” Immediately, she said, “Let me tell them.” Sure enough, she tells her teammates about my comments. Now I can hear everyone in earshot asking who said it. At that moment, one of the girls at the window closed the sliding window. But before the girl could close the window, the woman asked what they were waiting for. The woman handed me two orders and apologized for the slow service. I told her, next time, I’ll go inside instead. I’ll skip the drive-through.
Since I had been waiting forever, with the drive-through window open, I could hear everyone cheerfully talking to each other, but nothing was about work. I saw two of the three workers on their cell phones. Perhaps that was one of the reasons for the slow pace of their service. Maybe it was only that time; I doubt it. Nowadays, it's hard to hire someone with a good work ethic.
So, the one star is for the incredible ice tea and tasty chicken fingers. The drive through, not...
Read moreI always look forward to indulging in their delicious chicken and signature fries. However, I've recently encountered an issue that has put a damper on my experience: the inconsistency in fry portions.
On multiple occasions, I’ve noticed that my meals have come with significantly fewer fries than I expected during rushes. While the chicken fingers are always delicious—crispy and flavorful—the fries seem to vary wildly. Some visits, my order comes with a generous serving, but other times, it feels like I've barely received a handful. As a fry enthusiast, it’s disappointing to find that part of my meal feels lacking.
Fries are an essential component of the Raising Cane's experience, and when they’re under-served, it detracts from the overall enjoyment. It’s frustrating to leave the restaurant feeling like I didn’t get my money’s worth.
I truly hope that the management at Raising Cane's will take notice of this inconsistency and work towards standardizing their fry portions. After all, nothing complements those fantastic chicken fingers better than a hearty serving of fries. I’m still a fan and will keep coming back, but I’d love to see improvements...
Read moreI wanted to see what the hype was about, and I was not disappointed. The customer service was awesome, our server Ann Jeanetta was very helpful and honest about the food choices, she was very nice.
I was a little disappointed at first about the limited selection in limited in comparison to Popeye's, Church's Chicken, KFC, and other chicken joints. But I soon realized that they specialized in what they do, and their quality of chicken made up for their lack of choices. The chicken was delicious! Very juicy, not too salty or crunchy, but had a perfect crisp to it. The Texas Toast was good with some extra butter. The coleslaw was similar to KFC, but they had sweet tea which some chicken places do not carry. The French fries were okay. The Cane sauce was good, had a slight bbq tang to it. The prices were cheaper than other chicken joints, and the quality was better.
Overall the experience was great, the dining room was nice and the seating was comfortable and spacious. Side note, the logo was interesting to me, the mural popped out and looked like an old school design on bricks. The colors, shading and design were...
