I was excited to rate this place on my web series and waited a little bit for them to settle in to come have a bite.
I tried to keep it simple - double burger - pickles - their special sauce, cheese and I treated myself to some bacon and their fried onion straws.
This food is salty - the fries are heavily salted and seasoned. It’s almost over kill. I found the saltiness essentially overwhelmed my pallet mid meal. If you love salty fries - you won’t complain. I can’t imagine eating this fry without some sweetness of ketchup or sauce to balance it out.
The burger - nothing special about their signature bun - it’s toasted and follows a good tradition of a good burger - it absorbed a ton of the meats grease and lost its texture of bread before I was halfway through the burger.
The pickles are good, if you told me they made their own I’d believe it - I wouldn’t eat a jar of them but good on the burger.
Onion staws - bacon - cheese - all done well and average - quality ingredients and fresh for sure.
The meat was salty - had a nice sear on one side but more easy handed on the other - would have liked a double sided crisp to the patties - one side was just a dull brown hamburger but outside of a nice salty meaty bite - a double burger was a nice portion. A single would be a little light for a hearty appetite.
And as always, I grade their special sauces - and I was dissatisfied with what I call a “lazy burger joint sauce.” Look, it’s another take on thousand island type sauce - a little sweeter and less tangy - kind wants to be a Mac sauce but enough different that it feels intentionally different and not a bad Mac sauce copy cat - but it’s still a 100 island base burger sauce and you’ve had something close to any burger joint before it.
The line to order was long - the food came out quicker than it took to order it - that was pleasant - cooked to order and fresh.
I paid 15 bucks for a fry and double with no shake or drink - so in today’s world - okay on the price for a fresh burger and good portions.
It’s not going to go on my family’s cycle of eating out spots - but I’m leaving not feeling like a family out there wouldn’t add it to theirs.

Read moreMy wife and I were greeted when we walked in. The cashier had patience, while we decided what to order. After placing our order of a bacon cheeseburger and a cheddar bacon BBQ burger, we got our drinks, and we found a booth to sit at. Food arrived fairly quickly. The fries are not made to order, and you could tell they were in the warmer for a bit. My wife noticed mine had tomato on it (I requested it without). No big deal, I opened my burger to remove it and saw that there was no bacon on the burger. The other sandwich was ordered with an extra patty, but that one only had 1 patty on it. I told the guy at the pickup window and he got the other cashier to help us. Instead of wasting the food having them remake them, we settled on a side of bacon and a refund for the extra patty. The cashier took our receipt to work on the refund, while I got a side of bacon a bit later. Of course, by then our fries were already cold. My wife said her burger was good, where mine was ok. The bacon, in my opinion, was overcooked to the point of adding it to my sandwich it was breaking into pieces. We finished eating and sat for a bit waiting for the cashier to come back for the refund. She seemed to be avoiding us. My wife finally went up to the counter, where she got our first cashier. She got the manager, who attempted to do the refund. (She didn't know how to do it.) She finally just opened the drawer and handed us $2. I don't like 5 guys, but walking out I told my wife I wish we ate 5 guys. I would advise on double checking your order as they train staff. While waiting, I noticed an online order was missing their shake and another table they forgot fries. We will probably try this place again in a few months. I understand opening a new business has its headaches. I'm hoping for a much better...
Read moreVisited on opening day - still have some items to work out. I ordered the "Best Quesonario" with fries and a coffee shake. The shake was good - drinkable right when served but not melted. Only problem is that shake was served 10-15 minutes before the food. Was almost done with my shake before food arrived. The fries - very odd texture. If you have had "air fried" fries, that best explains them. They are not crispy, not soggy either. Dense bite, very dry. Cooked in very little oil - which also means they cool off very fast. Under seasoned for as dry as they are. The burger was good, but not great. Thinner patties, most of the (oils) flavor cooked out of them. That should leave more room for the bun and toppings to shine, however it was just okay. Fried onions, mayonnaise, and jalapeños gave an interesting flavor but they weren't unified. Service was ok, could tell they were getting a bit underwater. We cleaned our own table, but to be fair it was so busy staff didn't have a chance to clean a table before someone sat down. Staff was pleasant regardless of how busy they were. The chairs are loud. There isn't anything on the legs of the chairs, so they screech every time someone gets up or goes to sit down. Atmosphere is modern café, looks good. Tables are roomy, however the roomy tables leave little room for waiting and leave fewer tables. Overall it's an ok burger place. With the other burger options around, it would serve a highly niche market. The fries and burgers are easily outshined by other...
