Worst place to spend your first night of vacation.
Having a large group of 11 and knowing that Jimmy's could seat that many, we decided to make a reservation. Bad move. They pretend to take reservations here. they are LYING. The staff will tell you yes and then when you arrive at the restaurant- early even- they have given your table away.
It took so long to get seated that I had to nurse my daughter on the side of the road since we were up to her next feeding.
The staff was not even apologetic about the situation. They said they were sorry and tried to make jokes, but they were insincere.
Okay, so they lied about reservations and we waited. Not so bad, at least we'll have a great meal. WRONG. I ordered the broccoli and chicken and my food came out 45 minutes later and was dry. It had very obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for that length of time.
For a table of 11, all of us ordered different meals- ravioli, pasta with alfredo sauce, mussels and shrimp, chicken and broccoli and linguini with shrimp and pesto- only the pesto people were happy. Everyone else had dry pasta that tasted rubbery.
It also took 30 minutes for the wait staff to refill water glasses.
Do not go here. It is a waste of money and you would be better off...
Read moreWe really enjoyed our meal but there is a little room for improvement here.
We ordered the Fruitti de Mare which is market price and came up as $49. It was a good amount of seafood and we asked for the Diablo sauce since we really came for the Lobster Diablo and were disappointed to learn that the lobsters weren’t ready yet. We got there at 5:30. At other places we’ve had the Diablo it has been a thicker consistency, this wasn’t really a tomato based sauce like others I have had. The flavor was good but the menu is honest, it is VERY spicy. I also wish there had been more calamari. We split one pan between two people so had to get the $12 bread and salad for the second person, not a bad deal still. The bread is good and fresh and the salad is nice but basic.
The cocktails come out in these ridiculous glasses that take up way too much space on the table. Speaking of the table, our waitress had to climb on the floor to fix ours before taking our order, oops!
We’ll be back but hope they’ll take some time to freshen up the dining room and...
Read moreThe service was horrible this time around at Jimmy Seas, imagine our surprise being the first table of the night feeling as though we were inconveniencing the staff. We are very relaxed people, especially being in the vineyard for vacation, but the waitress we had processed 6 out of the 7 orders we put in, then proceeded to tell us after the food arrived that she forgot, but it's ok maybe if the 7th is lucky her family will share food with her. We aren't the type of patron looking for compensation for human error but we would like our wait staff to acknowledge mistakes when they happen. Jimmy Seas has rightfully earned their reputation, but care should be taken to see that extremely poor service will not offset the quality of the delightful...
