Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Oak Harbor

This place is horrible! I ordered from them and got charged 2 times! I called the store and they were so rude. Told them i got charged two times they put me on hold in mid sentence. Took the manager 5 mins to take me off hold. Then he his talking to someone elses while im on the phone trying to calculate my total several times! I keep asking what he was doing and no response! After 10 mins of him trying to add up my total which wouldn’t be $47! I got mad and tried asking what they are doing? Why know one is talking to me about it they are talking among themselves? I Continued To said that this is horrible customer Service. In mid sentence i was put on hold while i was still talking. They finally take me off hold after another 5 mins to tell me they can’t do anything. And give me there helpline number! Why they didn’t give me that at the begining is baffling! I asked them for there suprvisers number to be put on hold agian for another 4 minutes. They take me off hold to tell me they can not give me supervisers number that i just have to call help line! When i get off phone with the store its already been 30 minutes! I call helpline lady was nice understanded my fusteration. But has to call store to make sure she got totals right. Takes me off hold to put me back then tells me she needs to call store agian to see if manager will allow a refund! Why couldn’t he offer me the refund when i called them instead for being so rude! This was a hour process to be told i have to file a compliant to wait 24 to 48 hours for the money they took out twice! I will never order from papa johns...

So... .... A month ago while on base my wife and I thought we would order some pizza for a late night snack. Ordered about an hour and a half before closing and started a movie waiting patiently. After an hour we started to worry..... So I tried calling but to my dismay no one would pick up the phone. After a half hour of multiple attempted calls we gave up and expected they just couldn't get the job done and we wouldn't be billed. Boy was I wrong. The next day I see the charge is still on my account so I call to find out the driver delivered it to me somehow without my knowledge. After a little persistence the manager finally agreed to remove the charge and put a free pizza on the account. Awesome right???? NO.. Well tonight when I call to get my pizza I discover they are still going to charge delivery. Ugh... Really not happy but let's get this pizza and then never deal with them.... So they let me know looking at a 45 min wait time. Again not so happy but expected that with football playing. Well two hours later the delivery guy showed up. Do you think he checked id to see if it was really me. Nope. Will they ever learn. I think I will sit in the lobby from now on and...

I like Papa John's Pizza. It's one of my favorites. But ordering pizza for delivery has gotten ridiculously expensive (not just them I'm sure). Just paid $44 for a large pizza delivered. Won't do that again. The coupons are hard to find other than for 1 or 2 toppings or other locations. It's not worth $35 more than a large Walmart pizza you bake yourself! Will go to another favorite and pick it up next time; Mod Pizza. I know gas and employees, along with the ingredients have gone up in price. But there are limits. We could actually go have a nice sit-down dinner for that price at a number of decent restaurants. "Food for thought" I hope for Papa John's.
