First time visiting this place and it was really great experience! The food here is really good! So affordable and fair. They have hot dogs, sandwiches, burgers, and others. Their meats especially the beef is so great, it is so tender, tasty, unique, and literally melts in mouth. All of their food is really worth to try. All of it are also reasonably priced. This place of Michael’s Beef House never disappoints. You will absolutely enjoy the whole place. Their interior is very interesting, relaxing, and so welcoming. They have awesome designs and décor. They are really well-maintained and organized. Their employees are so nice and decent. They will absolutely help you to have an amazing experience and they will also give you so many reasons to go back again. They all know how to serve and treat all of their customers very well. They also talk properly to the customers and answering questions right away. Very personable and reliable staff. This place is really a must visit! Beside of their great foods you will also enjoy the service they have. Really great! Their location is so perfect! It is so easy to find, near to other well-known places around, and very accessible. You can visit anytime you want. But I suggest to stop in earlier to avoid long lines and the time that the place is maybe crowded. You will absolutely enjoy this Michael’s Beef House. Thank you guys for amazing customer service! You are doing a really great job. Well done guys! Keep up...
Read moreYeah, that's a 5/5 😍 WOAH! I came into this place very suspect of just the modern lame taco shop interior that must be a result of new management at some point. However, this beef was DIVINE, easily on par with Johnnie's as someone who thought North Ave would simply be Johnnie's stomping grounds.
This is every single aspect a beef should be perfected. Deeply spiced and just thicker than a sheet of paper. The bread choice is also perfect and held up to the sheer amount of juice, no problem, as well as carrying that juice flavor in every bite without adding off flavors. I'm sure toppings are great, but this skinny dipped beef alone places this as my new #1 knocking Johnnie's (EP) down to 2nd. Being cheaper and taking card also helps.
That being said, i haven't tried anything else here yet.
Parking can be funky due to North Ave and the way Oak Park Ave shifts. Outdoor exterior and interior aren't super cohesive in terms of visuals. Interior is massive for its little parking lot. Pleasant enough staff and CHEAP well, unless you want to add a fry because nothing comes with a fry and they plaster it all over the menu. Will be back for sure to try some variations and...
Read moreI have been going to Michael's since I was a kid. When the owners changed to the Korean couple who were running the place; although they were nice to me since I was a regular, the up keep and care for quality and cleanliness started to decline. Since the new owner has redone portions of the interior and upgraded the kitchen, the prices have gone up, but they are still reasonable for the quality and variety of choices. I am a vegetarian, so having more options other than just the gravy bread has been a nice change. The owner told me that he wanted to keep the name since it has been around in Oak Park for many years and I am glad he respects that. In regards to the food, the portions may be smaller, but I am willing to pay for that quality that was once missing and has now returned. If you like Italian beef, burgers, sausage, hot dogs, fresh cut fries, and home-made Italian ice and it won't break the bank, then you will enjoy the new and improved...
