Number One Chop Suey — Restaurant in Oak Park

People please be careful at this place. Pay attention to your receipt. I ordered food from them from my place of employment. Since I call them all the time apparently the keep your information in their system. This particular day I placed an order for lunch and the price was under $10 so I just paid with cash. I get back to my office and begin to take my food from the package and the receipt that is stapled to the bag has my entire debit card number printed on the front of the receipt under the remarks section with the exp date as well as the ccv number. I was furious!!!! I called them and expressed my rage for what they were doing. They apologized if that's what you wanted to call it. I told myself I would not order from them anymore but against my better judgement I did. I was very surprised when the next time I ordered it wasn't on the receipt. So I'm thinking they had corrected that however on May 3, 2018 My husband called me and said baby lets take Chinese home for dinner. He said order it and have it delivered so when I pick you up we can just go home. He said use your card for my bank account to pay. I called and ordered $27 in food and once again the guy delivers and I look at the receipt and again the entire DAMN number including exp date and CCV on the back displayed on the front of the damn bag again. I called the establishment again and really let the young lady that had taken the order have it about what they were doing. I also requested she not repeated the number so loudly back to me because anyone could be sitting in the dining area and writing these numbers down !!! but back to what she told me is that the driver is HONEST!!!! Are you kidding me. Something has to be done about this. There is a law called FACTA and they are definitely in violation of it. PEOPLE CHECK YOUR...

I do not know how this restaurant has more than a 2 star rating. I use to live in Oak Park 13 years ago and I would frequent this establishment. I recently moved back and was looking forward to patronizing them once again. However, sadly I have discovered that their food and service is no longer of high quality as it once was. First off, the Shrimp Egg-rolls have drastically diminished in size. In addition, there are NOT any shrimp inside. The vegetables are no longer fresh and crisp. The filling just tastes like an unrecognizable mushy paste.

I ordered the #16 Sesame Chicken. The majority of it was hard fried batter and the pieces that actually contained chicken inside yielded chicken that was clearly past normal expiration date as the meat was dark in color, dried out and tough in consistency.

I thought that their Shrimp Fried Ricevwould be the saving grace. However, I was truly disappointed to open the box to discover a very pale (slightly beige in color) rice that barely had any green onions, eggs or other ingredients typically found out n fried rice. In addition, the only shrimp that were included happened to be conveniently sprinkled on the top. I guess this was done to make me feel that I was actually getting what ai had paid for, because there were not any shrimp elsewhere in the box.

I can only assume that the restaurant is no longer being ran by it’s original owners as everything has changed for the worse.

Horrible customer service. Been eating here for years; today was totally disappointing. Placed an order for delivery. The clerk called my home phone back but I missed the call ; I immediately returned the call twice but without answers. After an half hour I called to see where my order was and the young lady told me she forgot to get my credit card info so she did not place my order- I told her I called right back but no one answered she said it was because they were so busy. So I asked why didn't she try to reach me again she rudely replied they were too busy for that. I said well it was your mistake how am i supposed to know there was a problem with my order. She said I should have kept calling because they were too busy to keep calling me. So i hung up but decided to call back because I was pretty upset with her attitude. When I called I asked for a manager she said why no one else is going to care either. We are busy and I am the only person here. No managers only employees are working. I told her I would wait she began saying we are very busy here no one cares we have a lot of work to do if you need some help call back another day.
