I am not a harsh food critic so I believe every place should start with a five star review. To earn that, the ordering experience should be simple, and my order should arrive correct and before the estimated time. Unfortunately this Dominos only succeeded at one of those things. My review is for order # 1394 placed on Wednesday 29DEC21 at Dominos store # 3835.
My issues started when ordering. I was ordering online and wanted to take advantage of the two or more item for $5.99 each mix and match deal. I ordered a two topping pizza and two orders of the eight piece boneless chicken. Three items that are a part of the deal so the subtotal should have been 17.97 (3 x 5.99). When I looked at my cart the total was 18.97. I selected two x eight piece boneless chicken, one sweet mango habanero sauce and one hot Buffalo dipping cup, but the site decided to charge me for a total of four sauces which added an extra dollar. After I went back and updated my order to show one eight piece boneless with one sauce and a separate eight piece with the other sauce my subtotal showed correctly. Not a big deal overall but how many people have they gotten to pay an extra dollar when they only wanted two sauces? Minus one star.
At 629 PM I received my confirmation email letting me know my order should be delivered in 36-46 minutes. To me this meant that my pizza should arrive by 715 PM, which I thought was great as I continued watching Netflix. At 736 PM my show finished and my order still hadn’t arrived. Failed to meet estimated time, minus one star.
A quick check online showed that the quality check was started by X worker at 704 PM so I decided to call the store for an update. I waited for an answer and got the automated message. I listened and continued to check online for my order status. At 744 PM, Y delivery driver departed with my order. I still waited on the phone. My order finally arrived at 757 PM, and although it was correct it took 78 minutes. I was on the phone for 21 minutes and never talked to anyone. Minus one star for poor customer service.
My final review is two stars. My order was late and arrived cold. I couldn’t even reach anyone to ask about my order. While I was on hold, the recording would inform me that “at Dominos we’re making it as easy as possible to order a pizza” one minute and “someone will be on the line shortly to take your order” the next. Though it was easy to place an order, I had to double check my work to make sure I wasn’t being charged for things I really didn’t need. He brings me my medium deep dish pie, told me the mgr on duty was supposed to call me, he thought She would’ve called me in advance since the order wasn’t complete, he bad mouthed her performance upon management, he handed me a receipt with a total paid but missing the copy of the receipt where I would sign & tip. The driver rambled on as though it wasn’t his problem, he’s just a messenger, etc. All this over a missing salad that he purposely told me they ran out of as the main manager did not pick up anymore salads! Then he told me that the Female mgr on duty that she told him that I should call in the Morning to talk to the Main Mgr to get my order credited! I’m not calling nobody and “if” this Dominoes franchise owner wants to keep on running this 40yr location into the ground, so be it as I see why their at 3.6 in Google Stars! I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service at your location. During my recent visit, I experienced several issues that need immediate attention:
Order Confusion: I received three different orders with three different names, none of which matched my order or my name. Lack of Attention: The staff appeared unfocused and inattentive to customer needs.
This level of service is unacceptable, and it significantly impacted my experience. I believe there is a need for improved training and better customer service practices at this location.
