My husband and I are pretty Saturday regulars at the BWW in Oakdale, MN and always eat at the bar. Our server (Kelsey) is almost always there and she is outstanding. She truly takes care of her customers and treats them with the utmost respect and the service is top-notch. We have been loyal Buffalo Wings customers since the early 90ās starting with the location in West St. Paul. When they closed, we started going to the Oakdale location. During all these years, we have always been treated with respect and have had outstanding customer service. My family (my husband, my son w/our grandson) and I went to BWW in Oakdale, MN on 11/12/22 and were seated in the main dining area. The place was pretty empty when we arrived. Our server took our drink orders (2 cokes and 1 beer). We got our cokes right away but it took almost a ½ hour for my husband to get his beer. We even asked the server if he could go to the bar and get the beer but said no. My son and I got our food right away but my husband who ordered just 6 wings waited over 45 minutes and still nothing ever arrived. By that time, my son and I had already finished our meals. We asked the server to just cancel the wing order. We also asked to talk to a manager. Ethan, the manager did arrive. We told him our concerns and before even apologizing for the delay, he started by giving us excuses about the kitchen staff being young etc. I mentioned to him that our server was doing the best she could and nothing was her fault. He never acknowledged our concern. He just said no and walked away. We never once yelled, swore or were disrespectful to our server or the manager. Of course, we were upset like anyone would be. We waited to see if our server would bring us the bill and she never did. I did ask her for the bill and she said that it was done. So, we left. My husband and I returned to the same location yesterday (11/19/22). We went straight to the bar where we normally sit. We ordered our drinks (coke and wine) and our food with Kelsey. As we were drinking, the manager on shift came to us (not Ethan). My husband and I were thinking he came to us to maybe talk about what happened last weekend and maybe give us an apology. But instead, he told my husband and I that we were prohibited in being served and that we needed to leave immediately and we were banned from the restaurant. This happened right in front of the customers around us and the staff. My husband and I were in shock. I tried to talk with him and explain to him about the incident and but he said that his manager (Ethan) would not allow any exceptions or explanations and that we were never allowed back. My husband and I felt humiliated and totally disrespected with his actions. We could not believe what just happened. It was a total embarrassment. Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe atmosphere has really changed at this location. It used to be our favorite place to go but we've experienced too many times now the feeling of our business not really being wanted. We completely understand most places are understaffed and multitasking. We go out with the understanding that food may take longer to be served and we may have to wait longer to be seated - we have no issues with this. The issue we do have is not even being acknowledged when waiting for long periods by staff who clearly sees us waiting as they walk by. We have experienced multiple occasions now at this location where we were waiting at the hostess stand, had multiple employees look over at us and make eye contact but no one actually spoke to us while we just kept waiting and waiting. It delivers an unspoken feeling that they would prefer we leave or never walked in at all. On all occasions there were plenty of open tables. Maybe they are only filling certain ones because of short staffing and that is fine, but when you keep looking over, walking near by and making eye contact maybe just one of you could simply say hi, welcome, sorry for the wait someone should be with you shortly or it will be about this long of a wait if you are OK with that; a simple welcoming verbal acknowledgement goes a long way. We are not picky and are pretty patient people. During previous visits we chose to kindly wait the long wait until finally being seated because we wanted BWW food. When we were finally seated the vibe felt like we were finally being seated because they realized we weren't going to leave lol. We even still tipped well even though it felt like the wait times were extreme to what it appeared they should be. Last night when this was happening again we just decided the food wasn't worth it. After standing for 15 minutes without a verbal greeting after multiple staff looked over at us - we quietly walked out and decided to eat at the Hudson WI BWW location and we had an amazing experience! We were seated right away, staffing was super friendly and welcoming and service was amazing! The difference between these two locations is like night and day. This is going to be our new spot going forward when we are craving BWW. Not sure if the leadership has changed at the Woodbury location but the vibe a business gives out is usually a direct result of how management is running things and treating their staff. When you visit the Woodbury location the staff does not seem happy, welcoming, motivated or working together as a team. The vibe is please go away we don't have the care or energy to serve you. This place needs saving with a new vision that breathes life back into the staff again. I normally don't leave reviews. I would never leave a bad review on a single bad experience. Ā Ā Ā Read moreApril 14, 2023 - decided to give things a shot bc kids were wanting wings. Apparently I am once again a slow learner and 80% of my $85.61 order was missing. I knew I should have checked the order before I left but didnāt. Called once I got home and put on hold so just decided to drive out there and finally after 9 min of being put on hold I was at the restaurant and just hung up. Wasnāt busy at all. Waited at front reception while an employee ignored me and proceeded to chat with a co-worker. Finally got help and was told I was given the wrong order thatās why so much was missing. I asked for a refund bc it was already 9:45 pm and tired and was over it. If you canāt handle online orders donāt accept them until you can. What I found especially disappointing is that when I walked out the employees proceeded to snicker & laugh.
January 28, 2022 ā Tried to order to go online however it was disabled. Called in and ordered to go. Ordered the following: 1 x Chips & queso 10 x boneless wings, mild sauce on side, ranch 2 x Curd burgers with fries 1 x Crispy Chicken Wrap with fries What we got was 1 x Chips & queso 10 x bone in wings no sauce and no sauce on side 2 x Curd burgers with fries 1 x Crispy Chicken Wrap with tots I tried to call the restaurant (actually 10 times - no answer) so I decided to drive there bc it was my sons bday and he was really wanted boneless wings. I called the restaurant as I was walking in the door and the staff just ignored the phone and the restaurant was dead. I proceeded to tell them that my order was wrong and no apology. The girl actually said āitās not my fault itās wrongā I said maybe check the order before giving to customer. They remade the wrong items however still made the order incorrect. They made 5 boneless wings with sauce and 5 boneless no sauce, no ranch included and then gave me tator tots. I never even ordered tator tots. When the gal brought it to my car she said nothing just handed me the bag and walked away. I Checked the order and went back in and said the order is wrong again. The girl just ignored me and then Kelsey a manager walked to the front as I laid out what I received and she said āwhatās wrong with it?ā š¤¦āāļø I proceeded to ask for a refund bc by this time I had zero faith in them. I told them Iām not upset the order is wrong Iām upset that you didnāt answer the phone and I had to drive here only to find that itās completely dead!! The girl offered no apology and girls at counter looked oblivious. I understand you are struggling for staff during the pandemic however if you canāt fullfill take out orders properly then maybe you canāt accept take out orders or operate restaurant at the capacity...
