We had 2 Ribeye and Shrimp and the Awesome blossom, My Daughter had Ribeye and shrimp and fried pickles her husband had 20 oz Ribeye that was supposed to be med rare and was so badly charred on one side that he could only eat about 1/3 of it and pushed it a side and started sharing his wife's steak with her. He didn't want to complain but I felt like they needed to know so I did let the server know. She said she would let the manager know and took his plate away he told her he didn't want to replace it. The manager did eventually come to the table and ask about the problem with the meal, I ask her if she had seen it, but she had not even seen the steak. She apologized and said she would speak with the cook and also offered to replace it but by then we were nearly finished eating. My son- inlaw politely said it was okay, so the manager did nothing more and left our table. I don't usually take the time fill out reviews but I just felt like they really dropped the ball. We had gone out on New years eve for lunch our two tickets were combined around $200 for 4 people and because how this was handled it just ruined the occasion. The server didn't even apologize initially, she did ask if he wanted to have them cook another one but of coarse we would all be done before he would get his back out so he didn't want to do that, but again she never said I'm sorry, she just said she would let the manager know. And I know it's not her fault that the cook burned the steak on one side and sent on out. But she seen he didn't eat his steak, she took his plate back and saw the evidence, told the manager. But what's absurd is that the manager was still going to charge him for his full meal without comping him for at least a portion just because my son- inlaw was to nice to speak up when she came and she didn't offer anything more than replacing his steak. I couldn't just let it go. So when we got our checks and I seen there had been no adjustment made to the ticket I confronted the server and told her it just wasn't right that he shouldn't have to pay full price of the ticket because his steak was so burned he couldn't eat it and she seen that. She said there was an adjustment even though there clearly wasn't and just took the ticket along with our money and then returned with the change and at that point they taken off $15 his ticket. I guess they wanted to make sure that since he ate 1/3 of the burned steak which was still burned and not very desirable he just tried to eat it anyway, that he go ahead and pay for the part he did eat. I just couldn't let this go without passing on how this was handled. So Texas Roadhouse Have A Happy New Year , you really made ours memorable , I will think of it every time I drive past one of your restaurants to go eat some place else. To me they really just blew it. I supervised and worked in the restaurant business for over 20 years and I never would have handled a customer in...
Read moreWhile Texas Roadhouse is one of our go to spots, I’m not sure we will frequent this location anymore.
I’ve worked in food service for years- staff are clearly overwhelmed, food is nearly always incorrect in some way, and the management team lacks consistency/focus. It really seems like everyone is simply flying by the seat of their pants. While we have had a few positive experiences, over the many weekly date nights we have shared, they are by far in the minority. Steaks almost always come out incorrectly- vastly undercooked, sides missing, etc. While recognizing the food condition is not the servers fault, you then usually wait 15+ minutes for a “two-bite check”- leaving you to watch your partner eat while your own food gets cold- if you are even given that check in at all. This is not industry standard.
I know a member of management is supposed to stop by each visit and remove the taped on slip at the end of the table- and yet the last three times we’ve dined in, all we’ve seen of a manager are those hiding near POS stands/back alley. Today’s issue was a simple fix, but it was never given the opportunity to be addressed, seeing as though we saw our server once when she was taking our order and a second time after we had already gotten up and secured our own takeout boxes. Never saw a manager.
Our table top payment system was broken, meaning we waited even longer for the check with food that was made incorrectly, paid/tipped our server, and left. I was disappointed to say the least. We’ve continued to give chances to this location, but I think we’ve finally realized that without an overhaul in priorities and guest satisfaction, we’d be much happier at a different Texas Roadhouse location.
While this review is overwhelmingly negative, I will say that Jesse provided an overwhelmingly positive experience earlier this month. Friendly, attentive and with a sense of humor- he is clearly an asset to the team and delivered on excellent service. If we could guarantee an experience like Jesse provided each week when we dine in, this review would look a lot...
Read moreWe arrived at the restaurant the wait was 6 minutes, and we got sat, the waitress Bobbi got our drinks, and we were waiting on one more person, she gave us the drinks and our bread, she then came back twice, it made us feel rushed to order our food, when all of us weren't there and we didn't know what we wanted to order yet. She then proceeded to sit down next to me in my booth and say "my back hurts sometimes so I needed to sit down", I was highly uncomfortable. Our third person came and two of us needed some refills and we didn't get the drinks we ordered we got a Shirly temple and an diet coke she brought us raspberry lemonade, she had inappropriate language when serving us. She didn't come back for another 20 minutes to take our order, I had ordered a medium well steak I usually get well done but wanted to try something different which I should've just gotten it well done, one of my friends I was with ordered and was asked if she would like her mac cheese loaded " and my friend said yes and then she looked my friend up and down and bobbi said " of course you do". My steak came back out medium rare and my ranch I had ordered on the side was spilt all over my plate. We asked for the manager because by this point, we were irritated. After speaking to the manager, we decided that we were just going to need boxes, we didn't want to stay any longer. Bobbi then came up to us and in a rude tone and said, " did I do something wrong, my apologies for swearing but I don't remember swearing". She didn't really come back to our table after that and we had to ask other workers to grab us boxes and bags for our food that we didn't eat in the restaurant. I also want to add that none of our food was comped. We will not be coming back to this location! if you get Bobbi as a waitress, please request a...
