I booked a couples massage here weeks in advance for my husband’s 30th birthday. There was traffic and construction, so we arrived about 20 minutes late. No one called to check on us until the moment we were walking through the door.
When we arrived, we were told we could not do our service anymore and that if we canceled or rescheduled, we would be charged the full price. I later found out their actual policy is to shorten the service for late arrivals, not cancel it entirely.
I had also noted on my booking that it was for my husband’s birthday, but when we got there, the welcome board did not even have his name on it; it listed someone else’s instead.
The front desk person said she could “help us out” by switching us to something an hour later such as pedicures or one pedicure and one facial and that it would be significantly cheaper than what I originally booked. When I asked for the price, she told me to scan a QR code instead of just telling me directly, even though the signal inside was terrible and I could not load it on the spot.
We felt stuck and agreed to do two pedicures later. Mine was a basic polish pedicure, and my husband’s was just a simple pedicure. The total came to $190, and I tipped 15% to make it an even $200.
I originally wanted gel polish, but the nail tech told me that if I chose gel, I would not get a foot massage, only if I did regular polish. I chose regular polish so I could relax, but she massaged my feet for maybe two seconds. The entire experience felt rushed, unorganized, and not relaxing at all.
The “quiet room” was overcrowded with people waiting, and the whole spa seemed overbooked and chaotic.
Overall, it was confusing, overpriced, and disappointing, especially for what was supposed to be a special birthday experience. Out of all the spas I have been to, this was by far the most expensive and worst experience I have had. I would not come back or recommend this...
Read moreI was so excited to go spend the afternoon here that my husband and kids got me for christmas. After my experience here I was thoroughly disappointed about this place. The ladies at check-in were nice and got me to the back into my warm robe. They showed me the relaxing room. It is nice in there but not very comfy. The chairs are more for looks than for comfort. They have two lay down chairs but the room was always full so it is very hard to get them. The package I got for christmas was the complete transformation package. My pedicure was relaxing and great. It was nothing to special. My manicure was not pleasant at all. They don't soak your hands in warm water before they start cleaning up your cuticles. It hurt when they cleaned up and cut off my cuticles. For someone that gets a massage every month, my tranquil stone massage was terrible. One I never got stones during my massage, all I got was a lady rubbing my back either with her whole hand up and down my back or her knuckles in my trap. She never massaged my actual muscles. I was really looking forward to the stone massage as I never had one. My HydraFacial was the only thing I really enjoyed at this place. Despina was amazing and would recommend her to anyone. She was also very knowledgeable on what would help your skin and things you should add into your daily skin routine. If I were to go back, I would go see only Despina for the HydraFacial. For the amount of money my husband spent on this package for me, it was not worth it. I can get a mani and pedi for over half the cost that is fully relaxing and not painful. I can also get a massage for a fourth of the cost. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone besides to get a...
Read moreI came here for a deep tissue massage and was so disappointed
For context, I have been getting deep tissue massages every month or two for ten years. Several have been here and I had a good experience
However this experience was so bad I will never return. My massage was so painful the entire time. I said a many times-like every 5 mins- I needed lighter pressure and the worker either slightly lightened up or told me it’s not possible to go lighter. In fact this person told me there is a safe word if it’s too much. As much as I can see this was their attempt to be respectful, shouldn’t you ask yourself why you require that in the first place? I know deep tissue massages are somewhat painful and do not expect it to be relaxing, but if I keep having to tell u to lighten up, take the hint and do not respond tia not possible!
I had bruises all Over my body the next day, handprint marks on my back and thumbprint bruises in my neck. I’ve had many massages and never once had this
I did tell staff there. The staff that day took my concerns very seriously, offered to comp my massage. I still paid because I wasn’t trying to short anyone but figured they would want to know the feedback. Interestingly, one of them Asked who the therapist was and when they learned the name, the reaction was one of “oh yeah, of course”.
While the staff was nice in listening to my concerns, they did offer for a supervisor to call. I never heard from anyone, which surprised me.
I can get a massage that doesn’t bruise me for much less. I wish the therapist would have listened when I said I needed lighter pressure. Also wish someone would have...
