This cake came out cute & I am thankful to have one at all, but this is definitely nowhere close to what I asked for 🥲 Im just frustrated because initially, when i went to order it, the person who took the order literally had no idea what they were doing but I was trying to be understanding as they were probably just filling in for a department that was short on staff that day. So the next day, I called to ask about pick-up time and ended up talking to the actual cake decorator. She had me come down to basically reorder the cake because it didn't make sense on the original note. I showed & told her exactly what I wanted, and she even took pictures of my reference photos. All I wanted was a basic, vintage, frilly cake that I literally saw displayed while waiting to order, I even pointed and said, "Ooh, just like that one." So not only is it not decorated as I had asked it to be, but the cherry on top is that I specifically asked for the T in twenty to lower case, and as you can see, she's capitalized, lol. (Not a big deal, but she literally wrote it down, i watched her write it down because I specifically asked her to lol) Anyway, I'm just being an ungrateful Karen because the cake is still cute and delicious at the end of the day. More than anything, ig I'm just frustrated bc I didn't get what I ordered, and I knew what I was asking for was well within their range of capabilities, as I literally saw it displayed in their window of cakes lmao. Anyways, happy birthday to me, and thank you to the bakery for doing a decent job with what I...
Read moreHere we have frozen foods left in the aisle’s unattended without any workers in sight putting the items away. The ice cream products were completely melted. I pressed on them to try to figure out how long these pallets have just been just sitting out unattended. I was in the store over half an hour and no one put any of the stuff away during that time! This explains why over the years I would get sick when I would eat frozen food items from Vons. Because I have seen this happen on many occasions with pallets just sitting out and now I am posting proof. Many of the items on the pallets contain seafood and other very perishable items on which the box clearly states to keep frozen. I don’t want to get sick anymore, so I will not purchase anything perishable from this store ever again. It was an hour before closing on my last visit to the store and with no workers in sight putting anything away makes me wonder if they don’t put it away until 5am when they reopen. The pallets contained hundreds of items that needed to be put in the freezers before thawing out. Over the years many items I bought had an unusual form which means they had been thawed out and refrozen. Very sad to see this at my...
Read moreI’ve always found any Vons store wells stocked with crispy fresh vegetables, which is my fav section of the store and very kind and courteous staff until I visited one in Oakhurst just last weekend. My daughter and I decided to use the self checkout registers, frankly not for the first time at Vons, and it turned out to be a eveningmare (I guess nightmare is the word here, just that it wasn’t night yet😀). The system kept on locking us out and referring us to the staff, who was standing a few feet from us and could here whenever the Register makes that annoying announcement “an unexpected item has been detected, please remove the item before you can continue ....” and then it would lockout. Unfortunately it happened one too many times that the staff visibly and verbally got irritated by having to help us so many times. When we were done we apologized for bothering her so much and promised not to return again to the same store. This was said very loud and clear that even the other colleagues could here. Unfortunately that didn’t seem to...
