I’ve been going here for a year now, since moving to Oakhurst, yet never gave the review it deserved. The food here is fantastic; if you want Chinese food in Oakhurst, this is the place to go. Pictured in this review is the Mongolian Beef, and it was excellent — the beef had a hint of sweetness to it, with a mild spiciness, from the sugary-sweet caramelized onions, coupled with the soy sauce based sauce you’d expect from Mongolian Beef. If you want boba, this is also a great place to quickly grab one on the go, and they also have different sugar level options if you are someone like me who prefers their boba to be very low extra amounts of sugar. Service has always been top-tier; the woman who seems to always be there (maybe the owner?) is extremely kind, welcoming and patient. She’ll guide you in the right direction if you have questions. When you see a small hole-in-the-wall, you tend to assume the place is pretty great, and this is no exception. My partner and I will continue coming here for a long time.

The good news. It's chinese food the lady is very nice. She talks very fast. We ordered 3 dishes and a drink. It took very long for the 3rd dish to be ready. Therefore the 2 other dishes were cold. The first dish was beef chow fun. I've ordered this dish all over the world. I've never had it served with so many vegetables and so little chow fun. It was rather bland. The Third dish beans and beef. Has that before too. Was well prepared . The beef was soft. Unfortunately they added to many black beans which made the dish very salty If You order this I suggest you order this with white rice The 3 dish. Most expensive one 20 usd was a complete let down. One of my FAV Chinese dishes Salt and pepper calamari. Since it was cold it had gone soft. The calamari was way too chewy. But worst part they forgot to salt and pepper. So the dish had no flavor at all. To say it was bland would be an understatement. Then there was the milk tea. The tea was very very strong.

It took the person behind her laptop more than two minutes to even acknowledge me after I walked through the door of the dirty looking restaurant, and then was asked if I was ready. Wow, It was lunch time and I was the only one there, huge red flag but I kept rolling the dice. The take out order of Curry Chicken, Chow Mein and Fried rice was delivered to me for take out in a timely manner. I'm guessing that it arrived so quickly because the 3 very small pieces of chicken were still partially frozen and the rice and chow mein tasted like someone hit 20 minutes on the microwave button. The cherry on the parfait was upon check out when the cashier literally tossed me my card and both copies of the receipts to sign before quickly scurrying back to her very important laptop without saying one word to me. Bad Service, horrible food. I should've went next door to Vons as they have better Chinese Food and better service. Don't say I didn't warn you. Run!

UPDATE: Apparently Taste of China has been under new ownership for a while now and I kept wondering why their service and the quality of their food kept going down until one of my delivery orders was messed up. Half of the items I ordered were not there and what they did bring was completely wrong and the food was horrible. I called to see what they could do about it and was talked to very rudely, lied to about returning my phone call after speaking to a manager and then hung up on when I tried to call back to see what was going on. Absolutely horrible service! Absolutely horrible people! These people should not be in business. Also I did a little digging and found out that the old Taste of China owners now own China Delight so I finally went there and their food is amazing and the customer service is awesome! Don’t go here! Go to China Delight!

I LOVE the staff here! And their hot and sour soup will cure anything. Plus I always stop in when I'm out shopping because they have my favorite...

If I could give it 0 stars for the food I would do it, I was waiting for a while to go to Oakhurst for eat in china delight but it was closed, so, I took the wrong way to go to this place, guess who is in the emergency room for food poisoning? Yes my husband and I, I was about to give my daughter that food, Thank God I didn't do it.

While we were eating, the horrible experience that a client had when he was locked in the bathroom, because the bathroom lock did not work properly, the Chinese owner was only dedicated to telling the boy's wife that it took a while to open, the girl only said that her husband was claustrophobic and tried to calm him down from the outside, while the Asian woman was being rude With the boy and with a white man who was trying to help to force the lock, When the man asked for the keys she said that they had no idea, they were looking for them, then when they finally could open the door was evident the annoyance of the Asian woman who changed her...
