Came here on Christmas Day at about 5pm, Emma the owner greeted us and was very friendly. The soup of the day was vegetable soup, I declined (didn’t sound appetizing) she brought out the soup anyways an offering of sorts. To my surprise it was extremely delicious. There was cabbage carrots and maybe another vegetable. I ordered the super burrito Asada, it was AMAZING. The meat wasn’t salty it was creamy with thick tortilla. The salsa is a little spicy, addicting. The tortillas are fresh made to order VERY THICK and flavorful not dull tasting. There is parking in the back or on international, the restaurant is very homey, and clean. I could hear the dishes being cleaned reminded me of my nanas house. We have already eaten there again.
I recommend to EVERYBODY especially those who only know of Otaezz Check out this gem &...

I tried to love this place - I honestly did - but...
It certainly has "history." It is an older restaurant in an older building, and the decor certainly reflects that. The homemade tortillas are wonderful, but deceptively massive - they will fill you up before you finish your food!

I prefer crisp and juicy. This place (on this day) pegged out the flabby and soggy end. My wife's chicken enchilada was meat and red sauce on one of those massive tortillas. The sauce was flavorful, but uninteresting.
The menu prices are more in line for an upscale restaurant in a part of town with more,,, caché. ...
Read moreI am from Minneapolis where we have our fair share of authentic Mexican restaurants (1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation immigrants in Minneapolis vs. a long-established Mexican population in California) and have been to this place 3 times now on my visits out to the Bay Area. Some of THE BEST I have ever had--these guys are the real deal. Their tortillas are homemade and unlike anything I have ever tasted, but in a good way - YUM! Here's a hint: their chili verde isn't on the menu, but they will give it to you if you ask for it--to die for. One of my best friends is from Hayward and he always asks for chili verde whenever we have gone - the server recognizes him and always comments on how he orders the same thing every time. I will...
