This place was very expensive. I paid $10 for a small quesadilla and $3 for a 12 oz can of Sprite. A friend of mine order three street tacos and a fountain drink and paid $18 for his order. spider webs all over the walls and corners of every ceiling and floor. Bathroom was dirty floors were dirty. Noticed a female cook drinking beer while cooking. The place is very outdated I used to come here over 10 years ago and recommended this place to my friends as we came here today and was very disappointed. It looked exactly the same as it did 10 years ago down to the paint. Lots of places where paint was chipped. They had no sort of air conditioning inside there except for two ceiling fans that pushed around hot air . Food was authentic and tasted decent. But I expected more out of a family business. I don't know how they stay in business maybe cuz there is no competition around them. Good luck to you for Caminos. I will not...
Read moreBeen 2 yrs coming here and employees know when we call, almost every weekend I like the sopes, quesadillas, siete mares (seafood ‘soup’), chile relleno (‘stuffed pepper’) spicy bistec ranchero, shrimp salad, burrito famoso so far, I personally don’t order chicken because some of the chicken dishes were dry, lacking in flavor, that’s my personal opinion. The horchata is 10/10 always Service is good we like ordering ahead especially bigger orders. The wait is reasonable, 30/40 min, because they are almost always busy. We always do takeout and one of the things they add is salsa and chips, the only negative thing I would say is that they don’t add as much. Before, we would get 2 or 3 chip bags since it was a big order. Last week it was one chip and 2 salsas, The salsas are small. And bags are like a handful size, anyways we will obviously order next time Definitely try this...
Read moreThis restaurant is located in a dingier part of Oakland, but if you venture out here, this is what you'll find. Big portions of rice, beans, toppings. Individual bags of delicious pickled carrots and radishes served with each meal. A brown bag of chips. Super burritos the length of your arm (wrist to elbow), and friendly service that has opened the door for us when we arrived to pick up our to-go order late, after closing. The horchata is also good here and served in a big styrofoam cup. We've always gotten take out so I can't say much about the restaurant itself, but take out food is always good...
