In a world devoid of anything dependable, i count on mc donalds because it is always the same. it is perhaps the only sense of permenance i feel in an environment that is constantly being bulldozed and burried in concrete condos ill never be allowed in. When i bite in to a big mac, the timeless flavor brings me back to a time when reality was simple, a time before the veil was removed from my eyes exposing the innumerable sufferings that is this existential nighmare i now call life. However, lately it seems everytime i go into a mcdonalds i am given my food to go, in a bag. i do my best to make it clear that i want my order for "here" and not "to go". i do not want to bring the trash into my home, i prefer to hide my shame deep in my belly. I look around everytime and everyone else had a tray for their food and i envy them. I feel a deeply triggering sense of rejection everytime the give me my food to go, its as if they are saying get out of here, you are not wanted here. What is wrong with me? am i gross? i put effort into appearing and smelling decent, yet i cannot even escape society's cruel rejections when i step into a mcdonalds. A place i thought would always accept me for who i am, a place where i thought i could sit in peace free from the slings and arrows of the exhausting city life. Im afraid there is no permanence, i feel as if i am dissolving into the void, only to be forgotten. Its ok, i accept my fate. This perpetual rejection only prompts me to accept the inevitable for what is. thank you mcdonalds for helping me to accept my own total existential self destruction. My love is forever your's, even though i know you feel no...
Read moreThis morning Sunday April 30th 2023, I went to the McDonald's that is at 6623 San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley California. When I arrive there the sign for Sunday's says from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., but the location was not open there were people working inside doing the drive-thru but refuse to acknowledge the customers who was standing outside waiting to get in. We waited for at least 20 minutes. Then as I got frustrated waiting, I went to the side window where the customers pay for their food. When I talk to the customer service rep he said that they open at 8:00 and I told him "that's not what your sign says. It says on Sundays you open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.", he ignored me. So I went back around waiting another 15 minutes. Then return back to the drive-thru window to talk to the customer service rep, he rudely pushed his screen window closed so that he wouldn't hit listen to anything I had to say. I then proceeded to leave.
This site hands down is the worst McDonald's restaurant location I've ever been to in my entire life. The best thing that could happen to this location is that it shut down and put up a Burger King, at least I'll get better service from them.
The McDonald's workers at this location are rude, inattentive, disrespectful, unsanitary, obnoxious, and just down right unworthy of being in this neighborhood. I never thought that I could hate a franchise location such as this one. I will never go there again. Whoever the manager is at this location should be fired. And the owner of this location...
Read moreI use to visit this store located at 6623 San Pablo Ave Oakland, Ca. several times a week, and now I may visit every few months or so, because they never seem to be able to get a order correct. My daughter has food allergies and is allergic to cheese, and I order her burgers without it and get cheese anyway. I've tried talking to management, and they don't bother to answer the phone, and I have tried calling corporate and no change. It's as if it doesn't matter to them because they have and are making so much money people's health issues don't matter. Just about everyone who works in there English is not their first language so I imagine they can't read it as well as they don't speak it. I am of the opinion that a lawsuit may get their attention and that will most definitely happen if my daughter's throat closes and she suffocates. Last night I was lucky I usually check before letting her eat but the label said No American Cheese so I believed there was no cheese. She took a few bites and i noticed she was starting to turn a bit blue so I grabbed her pen and gave her a shot took the burger away which she wasn't happy about and had to fix her something else to eat. Whether you are a fast food worker or manager these folks need to understand the seriousness of their job and serving people food who may have allergies, and if they don't like their job find another before they...
