Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Oakland

Quite unethical and rude experience at this location. I ordered via the Papa Dough Rewards, but when I came to pick up my pizza, the pizza was not made, and the order receipt was in the garbage. They said I didn't pay and so they did not make the pizza, and threw the order receipt back into the garbage. I tried to explain how Papa Dough Rewards works, and that if I pay using Papa Dough Rewards, it will show on the receipt label that I paid "Cash $0.00". They said no, that's not how it works. It's quite unfortunate that they didn't know how their own app works.

They then proceeded to say "We don't care about you." That was quite strange and I simply left.

Overall, I love Papa John's pizza, but this location, particularly the manager NJ and the employees...they can be quite rude and unethical. This is actually the second time they've simply cancelled and not made my order because I used Papa Dough Rewards to make the order.

I waited 2 hours for my pizza to be delivered and it never came so I called back and they said that they already delivered it to me lol so they said they was gonna send somebody else out to redeliver so I waited 2 more hours and they never came..so I called back and they stopped answering my calls lol that's BAD BUSINESS so I used my other phone and they picked up and I explained what's been going on and then they put me on hold an they never clicked back over to me.. I don't think I'll ever order from that location ever again!!!!😡 This is in Oakland California fruitvale I never in my life experience this type of behavior from a business!!!!!.... 11-21-25 new post i tried them again the service was ok but they still on some BS my order was crappie I'm sorry but y'all need a new manager..but I can be wrong maybe I'm on they shit list lol from my last reviews 🤷🏾‍♂️ I'm done with this...

When dropping off my food today, the delivery driver came to the door ( without the pizza) and began berating my 15 year old son for not answering the phone when he called. He told him next time he will take the food back to store. After his beration, he then went to the car to get the pizza. Fortunately, his father met him at the door because he heard the commotion and told him not to get speak to his son that way. When I called the manager of the store to complain about the driver and his poor customer service, instead of listening, he began defending his driver and telling me the practice. He even said I did not indicate to bring the food to the door, when I definitely did. I told him I had the footage on my ring camera and should upload it with my review. This was my first time ordering from Papa Johns and my last. Horrible customer service from...
