Ah, the setting changes but the essence remains. Tacos Guadalajara isn't a brick-and-mortar restaurant; it's a taco truck. But what it lacks in tables and chairs, it more than makes up for in atmosphere and mouthwatering fare. Picture this: you pull up to the taco truck, parked strategically amidst the hubbub of International Boulevard in Oakland. A queue of eager patrons waits their turn, socializing and nodding along to the music playing from car radios. Some have made this visit a part of their daily routine, while others are first-timers lured by the truck's growing reputation. The aroma hits you first, a tantalizing blend of grilled meats, zesty citrus, and earthy spices. Even before you see the menu, you're already imagining the taste of tender carne asada, the kick of fresh salsa, and the comforting embrace of a warm tortilla. When it's your turn to order, the interaction is quick but warm. The owners, who also run the esteemed Guadalajara Restaurant, have perfected the art of speedy yet quality service. You place your order and in mere moments, you're handed a plate so artfully arranged it could rival any five-star establishment. You retreat to your car, the lack of traditional seating hardly a concern now that you're so close to diving into your meal. The first bite is euphoria, an exquisite dance of flavors and textures that belies the dish's humble presentation. It's simple, yet perfect—authentic Mexican cuisine at its finest. Each morsel feels like a tribute to culinary traditions honed over generations, delivered from the bustling heart of Oakland straight to your taste buds. The experience is deeply personal, as though each taco, each burrito, each plate of nachos was crafted just for you. You savor the final bites, already eager for the next opportunity to revisit this mobile gastronomic haven. You may have eaten in your car, but you leave feeling as fulfilled as if you'd dined in the finest restaurant. And so, Tacos Guadalajara remains an unmissable spot on International Boulevard—a taco truck in form, but a culinary institution in spirit.

Salsa on the side was wack. Burrito was dank. They threw in green onions and those delighted my tongue. The picked jalapeños tickles my jalapeños. And lastly, the one singular of radish cooled my palate. Enjoy a delicious burrito. There was a truck nearby that was blasting music from the truck nearby. This reduced the atmosphere score. I prefer mariachi or something similar to that but the music was just too loud and I couldn’t hear anything else so I was like a little bit annoyed. 7.5/10

I gave a 2 star because this truck is hit or miss. Tasty food but every time I order here I never get what I actually order. Today I ordered a steak burrito with everything, light beans. What I got was a steak and rice burrito with light cheese, cilantro, and onions. I would've just bought a taco if I knew I was getting this. 14 bucks for a dry and tasteless burrito.

This is my favorite taco truck in east Pakland!!! The staff is awesome. Their pineapple fresca is so yummy I almost wanna get 2 gigantic cups! Their green salsa is fabulous n its freaking amazing on the dope as steak burrito that I order... They have a giant $20 burrito that's practically as big as my leg, & they've got super yummy tacos that they prepare how ever u like. I order a very generously portioned burrito with everything & green salsa on the burrito as well as on the side... Burrito = $12 Giant Pineapple Fresca = $3 or $4 All together its like $16 bux

I usually tip the dude who takes my order 2 bux, n the dude that puts extra salsa in my bag gets the other 2 bux TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS TACO TRUCK! its located on the corner of high St n int'l in the big...

I stopped here around midnight with my husband and got tacos I'm not a meat eater but I said forget it I'll try their tacos only because I wanted fries but wasn't willing to pay $8 for some regular plain fries and not even a large order the guy made that number up off the top of his head. So the tacos were $2 each and we both ordered two, mine ground beef his steak with cheese and sour cream. The man charged us $10 for 4 tacos and they were disgusting! The shells were soft and uncooked and the guy was rude and had an attitude I definitely would not be going back there . It's such a disappointment because it always has a decent stream...
