I ordered the falafel wrap…what I got was huge hep of falafel with chunks of whole chickpeas inside I was totally grossed out. the falafel was fried so hard ….I guess I’m just spoiled living in Detroit with the Arabs who are the masters of the Falafel.. idk I really wanted to like this place …. I couldn’t even fish the wrap that’s how bad it was. Sadly to say I told the owner I refuse to pay for this . Do yourself a favor and go 8 blocks the other way to the YEMNI restaurant… I am not disrespecting anybody . I have had the burger, fries, Philly cheese steak, eggplant and cauliflower here. I think all the food is pretty good quality. It is probably my favorite place to get a halal burger (along with Bongo Burger's lamb burger).
If you are going for atmosphere, the place has a typical East Oakland burger joint feel, which means it's not fancy but it's comfortable and familiar feeling. I love the owners, who inconvenienced themselves to allow me to pray in their storage room with their prayer rug. You can also easily make a big table for a lot of people...

We waited a long time for our food and the place is far from the cleanest I've seen. There was a small family running it and they did their best. They are understaffed but... THE GYRO WAS THE BEST I'VE HAD IN LIFE and it wasn't even lamb. It was beef and there were huge pieces of perfectly grilled bell pepper, onion, cucumber and tomato.
