A hidden gem of an excellent italian restaurant. From the moment you step in, you're warmly greeted by the hostess. They immediately serve you complimentary Bruschetta along with salami and cheese. Outstanding taste! The Caesar salad was delicious! Perfectly prepared with just the right amount of dressing with a hint of anchovies. The Chicken Parmigiana was also perfectly prepared. Three pieces of thinly sliced tender chicken topped off with a generous amount of homemade marinara and mozzarella. The featured pistachio martini should not be missed. Amazingly prepared with a small scoop of pistachio ice cream. It definitely could also be served as a dessert drink. After the table is cleared, you are served with a small plate of sliced fresh cantaloupe and mini biscotti cookies. The dessert selections included two homemade choices. A decadent looking chocolate lava soufflé and a rich chocolate banana bread served warm with a premium tasting vanilla ice cream and whip cream. The banana bread dessert was one of the finest desserts I've had. Outstanding texture, flavor and sweetness. Service was attentive and on point however, our server did neglect to enter our appetizer when ordering our food from the kitchen. This is a family friendly neighborhood restaurant that has a great selection of fine foods, desserts and service. Valet parking on this Friday evening was the only parking option. The valet service was equally as good as the restaurant service. Engaging, attentive,...
Read moreThe service was prompt. The place had a homey feel. And the food was the best I ever had. I ran in first trying to beat the rain and catch our reserved table. I was met by the owner at the door while our table was being arranged. We spoke casually while my party started to gather. We were sat and walked through a few wine selections, we chose Stags Leap petite sirah delicious. The owner came by and as always I asked for his opinion on the menu. He mentioned his favorite was no longer featured on the menu but could still be made, so my MIL and myself ordered it. It was black linguini with seafood and a light butter sauce. It was the best Italian food I ever had. I regretted eating so much bread prior. Honestly, the left overs were bomb as well. My daughter and FIL ordered penne pesto adding shrimp. My husband had an eggplant pasta dish that was custom made since he's vegan, which he shared with our 9 month old. To savor our food we closed down the restaurant leaving us with a skeleton crew which came out to "goo-goo ga-ga" with our baby. It was a beautiful evening to start our...
Read moreUpdate: Sept. 2023. Ordered the Pork Milanese special. I also tried shrimp, and it tasted like how chlorine smells. Got food poisoning that lasted all night. The food must have been too old. My husband and I spent $150 for this! Never going back.
We've been here a few times for special occassions. The food is okay: bruschetta was good but pretty standard, salad was drowned in olive oil and vinegar, and bread was warm and fresh (need to cut it better though). The crostini appetizer had too much cheese- it overpowered the rest of the flavors and we had to scrape some off. The Pork Milanese was very good. The service was good too; however, they have only valet parking on the weekend and there are signs showing you can't park on that street, but you can park the next street over. We hate when restaurants do valet only- we're not letting any stranger drive our new car (they should seriously rethink that and make it optional because if we weren't there for our friends, we would've left). The manager, or possibly owner, tried to accommodate us, but it was too late- we already parked...
