The place has a great vibe and the owner is friendly, I've been here twice now and so far I like the quality of the food. I hadn't found a good place for gumbo since I lived on the east coast and was shocked to find it on the menu. So my first time in I got the gumbo. The stock was savory flavorful with a bit of some heat, the ecclectic collection of meats was good for jumping between all the flavors. My only gripe (reason for 4/5) was that I was only eating it for myself and the portion was huge with a price to match. If I was sharing/splitting with friends, the price and portion wouldn't be an issue for me. The gumbo was great but I would want a smaller order if I got it again. My next trip I got their standard Dog setup with a spicy pork link. It was awesome, the dog came split with onions and peppers draped over it and a mayo sauce drizzled on top. The onions and peppers were cooked well, so they were just the right consistency to match with the pork link. The pork link itself was cooked through and satisfying to bite into. I do find myself wanting to go back to try more things on the menu. So I know I will be back when I'm craving again! Overall, stop in and see what this place is about and you'll be leaving...
Read moreThis is hands down the best hotdog I've had in years! To make it even better, they also sell burgers, oxtails, and the best gumbo I’ve had outside of Nola. They have a great variety of options for their hotdogs, both mild and spicy; and even vegan dogs. They use high quality ingredients and grill their hot dogs, which gives them the exact flavor you'd get from a cookout. Their sauces are incredible, the prices are absolutely fair for the quality of food they offer, and the staff puts a lot of effort and clearly takes pride in making you feel confortable. The best part is that they have so many options that I can safely say that regardless of your taste or mood, they will make a dish that will leave you satisfied. If you want the gumbo (and you do!) come in a...
