You know, often time we hear or see these news or video footage of customers losing it in a fast food window / the check out line or whatever have you. We never know the details or the in depth reason as to why this must have happen. Usually 9 times out of 10 it's just a person probably having a bad day and they just lost it. Now that it comes down to this fast food that they wanted to eat and it went horribly wrong. Well! when you're on the other side of the situation, you think a little deeper. The sandwich I ordered today was made horribly incorrect it looked terrible but I didn't get bent out of shape I figured I'd simply drive back and have them make it the way that I wanted to be made. However walking into the establishment I then realized that the mood / Morale in the restaurant was not the greatest... not my business I just want my sandwich. A manager came over I gave her a brief description of why I was upset I then explained that maybe the young lady behind you is the one that made the sandwich because the sandwich looks like her attitude! A don't care type of attitude that young lady then approach me at the. Counter top and SCREAMED "I didn't make your sandwich" in a loud Stern voice I then said to her "sorry I'm speaking with your manager not you" but she decided to stare me down like we're at the OK corral! like she wants to fight! I politely said to the young lady this conversation is between your manager and I not you she squared off again I then ask a politely to leave before she gets slapped down!tThe manager then said to me that "I need to leave we don't need your kind here" I'm going to refund you your money! I didn't take any issue with a refund. However in trying to figure out this refund the magic began to speak again to it give me an explanation I politely said I'm sorry don't need your explanation you just refuse to services and said you don't need my kind here! In her frustration in trying to give me back a refund for the one sandwich that was incorrect she gave me back the entire refund of my bill! The situation deteriorated QUICKLY! "we don't need your kind to hear" I know I'm in the South I know their Confederate flags being raised around here but my kind visits your window every day and contribued to your employee's paycheck! Well after I was refunded for the entire meal I ask for my receipt the manager told me she can't give me my receipt I then said to her you need to give me my receipt she suggested you get the general manager when the general manager came out I explain the entire situation to him he was appalled and as I was about to walk out he asked if I get my sandwich I said I don't think you understood your manager refused me service! The general manager extremely hurt and disappointed walked away shaking his head I then call corporate who then got me in touch with the district manager well to no Avail the district manager is obviously friends with the colleagues at the Oakwood GA Wendys store because she said to me that she would have sided with her employee and asked me to leave as well! I don't think the people that I spoke with today which is the district manager understands that if the young lady had not come up into my face threatening me or have a manager ask her to step down because the conversation had nothing to do with her, I probably would have nothing to say and we probly won't be here right now! but the fact that your employees stepped up to threaten a customer, and I now have to defend myself! I was refused service and the district manager thinks that all of this was in good taste because she's siding with her manager and her employee! It's all good Wendy's will never get another penny of my hard earned dollars! Based on the behavioral patterns that I've witnessed today I understand Why the young lady approached. Read moreI run a fast food restaurant so I would like to start off by saying I know staffing can be difficult, especially on Halloween night. However, when I came through around 11pm, the customer service-absent-quality of food-absent, the fast in fast food-absent. You could tell even from the speaker box the woman taking our order did not want to take care of us at all. Upon arriving to the window, we were told we would have to wait on fries. No issues there so far. I don’t need someone to be nice to me nor do I mind waiting a few extra minutes for fresh fries. 15 minutes after placing our order, we get fries that I guarantee were past serving time, to a point that our cheese on them would not melt. The burgers and chicken nuggets followed suit. Cold, stale, not what I’ve come to love and expect from Wendy’s. We tried coming in the lobby but it was closed. Forced to come back through the DT that now had 2 cars in front of us, the same woman that took our order, did not change her tone when realizing we were unhappy. She told us that we would need to pull up bc “this isn’t her store and the refund is too big” we waited another 10 minutes behind the same 2 cars before deciding we didn’t want to wait here for our money back and then go get our dinner somewhere else. I picked up my order went back because I was missing fries and a burger (through the drive thru) the lady ask me what was missing and I told her, she told me to pull around I did (there were 2 cars on front and 1 behind me) once I pull up she confused me for the car behind and I remind her I was missing two items (told her and show her I was) once I'm on the other window I try to tell the other person (I believe new, since I have never seen her before) I picking up the two missing items I was missing (told her what was missing to make sure she doesn’t give me the order for the car behind) she said you have to come inside for that, and turns away I tell her I was told to pull around she turns away again and comes back angry saying "that's what I was trying to hand you" and throws the food at me and turns back around.
