AlleyOops Midtown — Restaurant in Ocean City

I only gave a 1 star because I had to in order to post……..I decided to take my 8 year old son on a mommy son date today to have some fun and food! We had a ball at the arcade and I spend a good penny on games. We decided to sit down and get a bite to eat before playing again. As we sat down I told my son to go ahead and look over the menu so we are ready when the waiter came over. As he looked i was just scanning the room I made eye contact with 2 male waiters that was servicing other tables. So we sat patiently and waited our turn, 5 minutes go by and yes 5 minutes both waiters cleared checks and tables and no one still never came to wait on my son and myself. My son even put his hand up like he was in school lol I told him just be patient. A few more minutes went by and still no one came to service us it’s not 8 minutes, I noticed two young ladies standing in the walk way of the kitchen we made eye contact and one came over. I asked her if we had a waiter because we had been waiting for almost 10 minutes, she said on he will be with you shortly. I said “ he “ meaning one of the two men that are out here now? She said yes, I stated that I have made eye o tact with both of them and neither acknowledge myself or my son. She don’t apologize for the wait just stated I can get you some drinks. And please note that it wasn’t busy on the dine in side at all prob 4 tables total 5 including mine. So we decided to get up and just leave. I have always heard about the treatment to persons amid color at this establishment but I never believe anything until I witness it myself. It’s sad because you kinda ruined a moment I was having with my son today. I recommend that the wait staff from today get proper training on customer service because I came to spend my money with you guys and I wasn’t treated...

My wife, myself , and our noisy kids enjoyed eating here. The food was good, and we were all happy with our food. I got the beer battered flounder, which was good . The tarter sauce was ok, maybe needed more relish.

My wife had the Chicken Chesapeake which she just yapped about n yapped about, omg this is soooo good , lol. I tasted it , she was right lol.

My daughter had the waffle burger , which she was iffy about lol. Why ? She though it had chicken in between. . Lol. It's in our fridge she didn't eat it. She's my daughter , I love her..

I had the battered flounder which was very good, I ate it all ... so that's that.

Overall for the 5 of us we enjoyed the food. Would I come back again? Maybe.

Overall, service was extremely attentive, there was no need for a refill on my ice tea as they brought me a pitcher. Lol. That was great. Lasted me the whole visit. Same with Other drinks. Amazingly smart idea.

I just loved that our waitress, wait let me get her name ... Sarah , was so attentive. She stayed and tried to help us with sauces with my daughter with an egg allergy. She went n asked, then came back n still had more suggestions. Above n beyond, she went. I really respected that about her.

Yea rethinking. I'd bring my family back n still pay the over 200 bill we had lol. Yea my youngest daughter got me for that brownie dessert n I got the one cheesecake lol. Dad's a sucker. Lol

Omg I forgot about the crab bisque soup... amazing, and a must .. yes yes yes yes

So this was first time at this location and I was not impressed at all !! We were not greeted at all the hostess at the stand just stared at us the one was on the phone with what sounded like a personal call finally I just said to the one that there were 4 of us and they seated us the waitress we had was not on the ball with anything at all! after having her stare at our empty cups multiple times I finally had to just ask for another drink the fish and chips I had literally had no flavor to it I was told that all entrees were half price but isn't a burger still an entree? I was charged full price for both burgers but didn't even say anything because I was just ready to go after the poor service that we had I could understand if maybe they had been a little more busier but the place was dead. Needless to say we will not be returning to this alley oops. So since this review I was contacted by a manager which really did not solve anything besides her questioning me on why I didn't say anything when I was there to a manager well I'm sorry I did have an older child who was going through some emotional stuff and I didn't want to draw extra attention to our table when speaking to her on the phone she was acting like I was looking for something for free which I wasn't I was just giving my true honest opinion on this alley oops location because we've been to the uptown one and we had nothing but wonderful service from the time we walked in the door to the...
