Candy Kitchen — Restaurant in Ocean City

Just went to the store on 53rd street. They have a great selection of candy and the store is quite clean, however, the manager who helped me, seemed to have a bad attitude. I felt rushed throughout the process and it seemed like he didn't care about literally anything. He made a mistake ringing up my order. I called and asked what I should do and he said to come in and they would fix it. So I came in the next day and he did indeed fix the problem, to a T actually, but he still seemed like he didn't care. I love this chain, I really do, and most of the people working there are happy, but when you come across someone who has a bad attitude it can leave the customer feeling like their business was not appreciated, and unfortunately I left that day feeling like my business was not appreciated. The young ladies behind the counter were AWESOME!! When my little one decided to make her great escape she took off running and ended at a dead end behind their cash register 😨 They graciously took the incident all in stride. They were really nice and eager to assist. The store itself was immaculately cleaned there were no boxes of inventory waiting to be put away. The isle were clear and easily accessible. I purchased salt water taffy and peanut butter fudge along with with toys for the escape artist. The taffy was great but the peanut butter fudge didn’t make it to the truck. It was gone on arrival. Great was an understatement!!!! I would come back just for the fudge. There are a plenty of candy kitchens in OC but I will always find this particular location to shop at....

Some items are a bit pricy, but if you have it to spend, it is well worth it. The fudge and chocolates are homemade; I'm pretty sure homemade onsite or at one of their main locations and then delivered to the other stores. They are well known for the fudge, chocolates and saltwater taffy! I enjoy the fun candy too, such as lollipops, licorice and gummy candies. There is something for everyone!! This is a great place to buy a sweet gift for anyone. I go every year to the one by the Boardwalk. They have a whole bunch along that road. Consistent quality is something you'll find no matter which location you visit. Hey, maybe they'll branch out to Pittsburgh, PA. We'd love to have them. I mean who doesn't love sweet treats!
