My family of 3 paid for a vacation home in Ocean Pines, MD. We used the beach area and parking lot which was “included” in the stay, as we’re considered “guests.” It was during the Holiday, so very busy, and my 6 year old had to use the restroom. After a half mile hike back to the beach club, my daughter and I were turned away at the restroom door by Lynn, asking for a club pass. I explained we had the pass in my locked car, and she expected me to get a picture of it with my phone. My daughter and I were only in our swim gear and my 6 year old already could not hold it longer, but Lynn still turned us away to find a “public” restroom. So extremely grateful to the patrons who let us take a spare parking pass. I don’t want to name them because I don’t want them to get into trouble for lending the pass to a 6 year old so she didn’t have an accident that would’ve tormented her. (No worries Lynn-we returned it!) The gentlemen know who they are, as they do work on the premises, and I thank them greatly. As for Lynn, I just shake my head. So sad she feels she is too privileged to share the restroom with my 6 year old daughter. Mind you, we were also the only ones asked to show a pass.. 2023 and she has the audacity to let my little girl know we are still not privileged enough to use a beach club house...
Read moreThe Ocean Pines Beach Club and swimming pool were great! However, the pool and locker rooms are supposed to close at 6 PM. Every time my family and I go the older lady that watches to make sure everyone has their beach club passes to enter the bathrooms, showers and changing rooms, always closes and locks up at 5:45-5:50. She will tell you at 5:40 if you enter with your beach bag that you are not allowed to bring your bag in for fear that you will change or take a shower and will not be out by 5:45, so she can lock up early. If you arrive at 5:50 just to use the restroom, it is already locked. I would recommend that the association either hire someone who will stay to the end of their shift and close at the appropriate time or change the sign and pool announcements to reflect the actual time that the restrooms, shower and changing area...

Was stopped by someone saying I needed the pass in order to enter the bathroom. It was in the car hanging because it was needed for the parking lot. I explained that and they rudely said they needed to see it as if I was lying. I left to get a picture of it. Meanwhile my 2 year old started crying because she had sand in her face. Couldn’t rinse off because I still had to run to the car. Meanwhile the same attendant let an older gentleman in just by answering where the house was located. No apology when I returned with the pass. Whatever happened to human decency? Loved staying at the house that I rented. Won’t be buying food from the beach club...
