We’ve been in a couple of times for cocktails, but I hadn’t had the chance to try the food until now. My fiancé had ordered the burger on a past visit and swore it was the best he’s ever had, which says a lot since he’s particular about burgers. That alone made planning a date night here an easy choice. We sat at the bar, our go-to spot in most restaurants, and Drew took amazing care of us. I ordered a peachy gin cocktail from the menu (I can’t remember the name, but it was so good) and we started with the bread plate. It came with butter and garlic confit, plus three types of bread. The sourdough and the simple sandwich-style bread were both standouts. For entrées, my fiancé had the sirloin with salad and fries, and I ordered the half chicken with Caesar salad. What I really appreciate about Butcher Baker is how they let the ingredients shine. Everything is seasoned simply and thoughtfully, so the flavors feel fresh and balanced. The sirloin was cooked perfectly, juicy, and seasoned just enough to complement the flavor of the beef. The fries were excellent, and I honestly wished I had ordered more. The chicken was cooked perfectly, with the breast staying tender and moist, which is no small feat. It had a smoky char on the outside and came with a drizzle of sauce that reminded me of a tomato and bell pepper reduction. It added so much flavor, and I’d happily order it on the side for bread dipping next time. We were also given a homemade shot of Limencello that was the icing on the cake. The atmosphere is cozy, low-key, and welcoming, the kind of place that makes you want to stay a while. We’ll definitely be back, not only to try more of the menu but also for the cooking classes they offer.

If you’re anywhere near Ocean Springs and haven’t discovered this place yet — go now. Tucked away like a true hidden gem, this spot delivers everything: incredible ambiance, top-notch service, and food that will leave you dreaming about your next visit. I came here to celebrate National Lobster Day, and let me tell you — they nailed it. I had the lobster BLT, and it was hands down the best sandwich I’ve had in a long time. The lobster was perfectly cooked — tender and flavorful — paired with crispy bacon, sweet juicy tomatoes, and just the right amount of mayo on toasted bread. Absolute perfection in every bite. The vibe is warm, welcoming, and effortlessly cool — perfect for a date night, dinner with friends, or even a solo treat-yourself evening. The staff is the real deal: friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Whether you're ordering a perfectly crafted cocktail or asking for dinner recommendations, they know their stuff. And just when I thought the meal couldn’t get any better — the Dubai chocolate cheesecake blew me away. Whatever you do, don’t skip dessert. It’s clearly crafted with the same care and creativity as the rest of the menu. This place is the kind of local treasure you almost want to keep secret — but it deserves all the love. Can’t wait to come back

Enjoyed brunch with family at Butcher Baker!! I LOVED their inviting atmosphere and the chef driven menu, which was super fresh and delicious. My omelette was cooked perfectly, and the vibrant salad complimented it beautifully. I’m still thinking about them… mmm. Bloody Mary was great too, with a homemade jerky and pickled carrot in it! Tasty and fun. My husband and parents were all impressed with what they ordered as well. Everyone there was friendly, knowledgeable and patient with us, and I appreciated that so much! It made our family outing very enjoyable and relaxing. Mom saw homemade pastries on the counter looking cute and delicious so she couldn’t resist grabbing some to go. Then we “just had to try” their homemade pop tarts on the ride home, which was fabulous too! A huge bonus for me was seeing lots of local & regional stuff featured throughout the menu, and even from the bar. Yay supporting local!!! The bar and cocktail menu looked amazing as well… I can’t wait to go back and try the happy hour and dinner soon.

We attended the Valentines special dinner. It was four courses plus an amuse. We also had the cocktail accompaniments.

It was the most disappointing dining experience we have had in a long time especially for a special occasion, and we have never felt more ripped off. We arrived very hungry excited for the advertised four course meal. We are no strangers to paying a high price tag for an amazing meal, and four courses for $95 each seemed fine to us. All in all we left after paying $360 only to still be hungry and very unsatisfied. We stopped at McDonald’s for a cheeseburger on the way home.

If you’ve ever seen that movie The Menu, this was pretty much that. Overcomplicated, underperforming dishes. Most things were underseasoned and I had two items on two of my plates that were burnt. We hoped the duck course would save the meal and fill our bellies, but the “duck breast” we hoped we were getting was actually just two slices of duck breast that was also bland. The service was great, the atmosphere was cool, and Thomas and the bartender (and his drinks) were the highlights of the evening. Don’t know if we’ll be giving the regular menu a shot. Fool me once...
