I do work at this location, so I will admit up front that this review will be biased. That being said, I did eat Papa John's while in college as there was a small station of it in the quick mart of the main dining hall, so I am also writing from the point of view of a customer.
The pizza itself is very fresh and made to order (even in the hot and ready station, there was a high turn around). Crust is cooked to a thorough golden brown, but if desired one can request it be well done. Each pizza is made individually and can be customized with various toppings and sauces. Be prepared to pay more than Dominos, but if you are polite and ask nicely, we will be more than happy to tell you about specials that can save you some money--it's often as simple as telling us what size pizza you'd like to order, and there are a number of special 'combos' that include drinks and sides.
In short, very flexible and there's probably a special which can meet your individual needs.
Please be aware, though, that although you can have different topping combos on different halves, we cannot make a pizza with two different sauces on the halves due to them being able to mix easily.
Pizza is ready for carryout in 20 minutes and is delivered in approximately 35 minutes. However, during peak hours delivery times can be extended to up to an hour due to the sheer volume of orders received. If you REALLY need a pizza during a rush, I would suggest just ordering it for carryout as the drivers are in and back out again in a few minutes.
Papa John's definitely means it when they say 'better ingredients.' Ingredients are never frozen and seldom do prepped toppings stay in the fridge for more than a day or two.
From an employee's point of view, this particular location treats its workers well; I get along with my coworkers and my managers are easy-going and not tyrannical; therefore my coworkers and I are not hugely stressed and as such are happier.
In summary: delicious pizza and the crew is good-tempered due to...
Read moreI love pizza. And Papa John's is not bad but I found out that there's sauce it's just way too salty and I don't know if that's good or bad because I don't do a lot of salt in anyway I try to be low sodium but it's just didn't have a great taste to me on their sauce and they don't put enough on anyway and I don't find their toppings to be a whole lot out on there either or you know when you see those commercials pilings on there and the cheese oozing that's how a pizza should be good sloppy but well worth it. But I feel for me having low salt intake is so much better and healthier for you on any pizza. I will eat there again or try but I just think they need to change some things up and make the pizzas just look and feel so much better when you have it and you're going to eat it you want that stuff just falling off and they don't ever put enough cheese that's my pet peeve. Cuz like I said I'm the authentic Italian and you guys need to just go and try it one time for yourself and everybody has...
Read moreI ordered pizza at 530pm it told me estimate time was hour to an hour and a half after I had already confirmed my order. Ok no big deal. Except now it is 715pm and I called just to check on it and they told me the estimated time was an hour to an hour and a half I said I know that's what the order told me but it has been longer. She then told me like I said the estimated time was an hour and a half to two hours. No that's not what you said and here I am still waiting on the pizza. Why have a tracking on your order if it does not follow it and I was just calling to check on my order how about...
