This was during a shift change or something of the sort. We have been eating po boy express for about 15yrs and it's always been great except for this time. Staff was rude and not willing to make a steak bomb to make half our steak bomb with no peppers and onions but was willing to make it with or without peppers and onions (like the whole sandwich). We ordered 2 muffullata's with no olive mixture on them (or next to none). Spent 50 dollars and had a horrible experience. The woman taking the orders and checking people out was really rude. We asked for a extra order of po taters when we got there and she said we should have ordered them with our mobile order and acted like it was the most inconvenient thing in the world. Awful experience this time. Usually it's good. BTW we order regular Muffulatas not ham and cheese...

Stopped by after several locals mentioned how good the poboys were. It's a very non-descript place. Order at the register. No description of the sandwiches. Cash only. Pour your own drink. Super casual with pretty much no decor. And then this monster of a poboy arrives and your mouth is in Oh My God Central. The Hammerhead is ham, turkey, and roast beef with gravy and two melted cheeses. The bread was fantastic and the sandwich was so huge I almost could not finish it. (And my capacity for food almost always surprises people.) I was told their potato wedges are spectacular. However I ordered the onion rings which were just an average, store-bought variety.

Short version: huge portions of delicious comfort food with an atmosphere more comfortable than most...

Traveling around the country in our RV, and always try to find locally owned places to eat at. Got a recommendation from a guy cast net fishing off the Davis Bayou pier. He told us the Po Boy Express had the BEST shrimp po boy in town. Not sure if it is the best in town since it's the only place in town we've eaten at, but it was really, really good! It was so good that I came back to order a muffalota to go that night since we were leaving town the next morning. The young lady at the counter had told us that we had to try the Steak Bomb Po Boy or the Muffalota the next time we came, and I couldn't stop thinking about it. It didn't disappoint. Definitely going to stop by here on way back through from Florida. Yum! Got some pics on our page...

I ordered a roast beef 12 inch roast beef Poolboy and a side order of fries I even asked for extra gravy my sandwich was dry unfortunately…… My fries were hot and tasty, although they did need salt….. so thinking I was going to get a really good sloppy roast beef po- boy. I was very disappointed. This restaurant does not. I repeat it does not take debit cards, cash and checks only.!!!! The atmosphere was good. The restaurant overall was clean. The bathrooms were clean. Service was great sandwich not so much. The location was easy to find it is in a strip mall. It is not on a busy street easy to get in easy to get out.

This review is strictly on the roast beef Po Boy and fried onion rings. The onion rings were excellent and out of sight, a five-star rating. The po boy Bread is very lacking and too doughy to be real French bread. Some research needs to be done and finding some really good french bread and it would make it a much better po-boy 07-29-2024. Time to begin at the restaurant and got another roast beef po'boy. My friend had a shrimp po boy and it was very good. The French bread was much better this time but the roast beef taste like it came out of a Cisco truck . The gravy was excellent
