Anytime I choose to go to Armando's, my food is always fresh and delicious 😋. Polo asado burrito with guacamole, sour cream, cheese, and xtra meat🍖. I don't know about you, but my tortilla had to be just right, evenly soft and firm, so it doesn't break, and there's is perfect and even has a buttery taste. Fresh meat ALWAYS! HANDS DOWN Armando's is the BEST taco shop in Oceanside. NEVER DISAPPOINTED!!
On top of great food, their service is always A1.
I often call my order in when I'm in route, and my food is always fresh and hot 🔥 when I arrive.
Top all this off with a large horchata or pineapple Fanta.
I'd you want a beer with route lunch or dinner they gane that too.
For the big man or hungry girl, Armando's combination plates are too die for. Guaranteed satisfaction.
Seating is a little tight inside, but there's an outside patio that's very spacious.
This is a great place for a family outing, too.
I'm always on the go, so take out is my...
Read moreThis place has a nice covered patio with cement and tile table units, the counter guy was professional and helpful, parking was easy and plentiful, and the red enchilada sauce was a nice slow burn, but that's about all I can say that's positive.
The shrimp in my taco were overcooked and then partially burnt black. Then rice was put on top of them. Not sure if that was to camouflage the burnt or what. A chunk of char was in one of the two tacos and my partner almost chipped their tooth. It was that hard. I thought it was a piece of a plastic kitchen tool! Tastewise, texture, smell, and looks were all meh. A bit below the standard for Mexican fast food restaurants. This was more like cafeteria food that's made with the bulk sauces and beans that were on sale at Costco that week. Their food needs help, or one of the 'berto's restaurants needs to take them over and set it right.

Read moreGreat fish burrito, fish tacos, and carne asada! The atmosphere might seem kind of shady to the uninitiated, esp. at night. But this place rocks! I recommend to dine in the outside seating area, and just soak in the sights and sounds as you enjoy your food. You'll notice open electrical wire connections in the awning above, and the un-ergonomically designed concrete table and seats. But it sort of adds to the charm and experience of it all. The food is great! And the staff, from the cashier to the cook(s), are very friendly. If you're anywhere in the nearby area and you haven't visited Armando's, you haven't lived a full life. I can't recommend it enough!🌯
PS: Still haven't explored the ~3' gap in between the Armando's and Ramada Inn properties, but I digress. Please share and post if you have any intel on this. I will...
