Pho Ocean Garden — Restaurant in Oceanside

I was so pleasantly surprised when my wife and I took an unexpected trip to Pho Ocean Garden today! We had a lunch of pork Banh Mi, Eggrolls, and Thai tea, and everything was so delicious!

The eggrolls came out fast and were piping hot with a delicious dipping sauce, the Thai tea was everything that you want in a Thai tea, and the banh mi was so fresh and delicious.

The bread for the banh mi was fluffy on the inside while remaining ever so crunchy on the outside. Also the pork had a great smoky flavor (like real smoke, not liquid smoke) which was so wonderfully complemented by the fresh jalapeno slices.

Came here for the second time since they opened (once during their soft opening). Both times, we were greeted by the friendly staff and the food came out promptly. The pho broth here is great, and isn't too strong with the flavor of spices/cinnamon like some shops can be sometimes. Instead, get welcome with a nice rich beef flavor that is nicely complimented by the spices and herbs. The meat quality is great and tendon was cooked to perfection (soft with still a good chew). My wife got the pork chop rice plate, and the pork was very well marinated and tender, pictured here. The pho was incredible. They do something different with their broth. Not sure what it is, but it’s deeper, tastes better. They brought out the food extremely quick, and there were a good amount of people present. But even with the quickness, the bowl was incredible. There are a lot of pho destinations in South Cali, but this spot takes the cake. If your in the area, drop by. You will not be disappointed. Excellent atmosphere too, super helpful service, music was not too loud, it was legitimate radio station music, not random piano acoustic covers. It is very clean in there.
