Let me start by saying the food is great. Absolutely no complaints on the food. We went around 8p so it was a bit of a late dinner. There was a live DJ a drink specials.💗💗💗 Now, service ...if you expect service DO NOT GO HERE. We were a table of 4. The entire experience was 2.5 hours, when in reality it should have been 1.5 hours. Our waitress, for lack of a better word, was Shante(I'm not sure if this Is the correct name but similar). She took our orders 20 minutes after serving our drinks. I ordered a draft beer and she brought the glass out. I made the mistake of asking for a straw. When she came back to take the food orders, she brought my straw finally so that I can drink my now Luke warm beer...but she brought an unwrapped straw and plopped it in my beer with her dirty fingers🙄. The food took roughly 15 minutes to come out and that was normal so we were fine with this. Along the way, the "waitress" dropped my gloves to eat seafood and never replaced them. I only knew that I had some because they were on the floor next to my chair. I asked the "waitress" for a Sprite at the onset of the order and never received it. I asked for it after she brought my food but I didnt remind her because it was becoming terribly annoying. You have to request condiments but be careful because you may have to wait 20 minutes like us...each time. Now comes the time to pay...Shante passed by our table numerous times without stopping. I went to her and asked personally for the checks and she HANDED THEM TO ME. Instead of bringing them to our table(which was a hot 6 footsteps from the "waitress station" might I add) when I opened the check..guess what? I was charged for the Sprite that I never recieved. And what does the waitress ask me? She had THE NERVE to ask me if I wanted it! No. Now for the kicker...every dine in meal is assessed a 15% "service charge". Excuse me, if I have to pay for service at least give me service! The owner stopped at every table except ours to ask about the experience and I had to call him over to the table to discuss. I told him our waitress was horrible and I needed to pay my bill. I was getting ready to account for the other mishaps, but he left so quickly to give the very same check to the "waitress". Maybe this place needs a drive thru and a bar. Eat in dining is not...
Read moreThe woman taking our order at Timehri was absolutely the worst part of the entire night. From the moment we walked in, she gave us this look like we were a burden just for existing. No “hello,” no “how can I help you” just a miserable, fed-up attitude like she couldn’t believe someone actually wanted to order food at a restaurant. We placed a big order, and instead of being professional, she made sure we knew how annoyed she was huffing, rolling her eyes, slamming the register like we had ruined her whole evening. It was beyond rude. Then when my husband who was nothing but polite asked to add one more item, she acted like he had personally insulted her entire family. No patience, no courtesy, just straight-up nasty for no reason. What made it worse was watching her laugh and joke around with other people she clearly liked, while treating us like garbage. Then, as if she couldn’t be bothered to do her job properly, she came back and asked what we ordered again because she clearly didn’t bother to write it down the first time. At that point, it was clear: she didn’t want to be there, didn’t want us there, and had zero business working anywhere near customers. There’s bad service and then there’s whatever that was. We got charged $150 for a fried rice, chowmein, black pudding, and curry, no receipt, just vibes. Pretty sure we got scammed. Final thought: If you can’t even fake basic respect for people spending their hard-earned money in your establishment, maybe it’s time to pick a job where you don’t have to interact with humans at all. Hope the owners look into this because it...
Read moreI live out of state and don’t have easy access to Guyanese food so whenever I visit Florida, which is quite often, I go to this restaurant; but no more. The older lady that works there must be related to the owner because that would be the only explanation as to why she still has a job there. Every time I call to ask a question over the phone she’s like “eh, what you say, eh”? That annoys me to the core. That’s not how you speak to customers. Be professional or if you hate your customers so much, stay home and let someone else do the job. I’ve actually gone into the restaurant and picked up my orders and the treatment is the same. The attitude that she gives drives me mad. The last time we were there, I sent my son in to pick up the order because I didn’t want to tell off this old, miserable lady! Unfortunately my husband loves the food that’s why we go there but if it was up to me, I would ditch them completely solely based on her stank attitude. Customer service makes or breaks a restaurant and I see some other reviews about this same horrible lady. Whoever she is she needs to be fired, regardless if she’s family or not. There were other ladies working there but I don’t see them anymore. That’s no surprise because if I had to work around her, I...
