⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – A Hidden Gem for Food Lovers and Culture Enthusiasts!
H-Mart in Orlando, FL is nothing short of a culinary paradise. From the moment you walk through the automatic doors, you’re greeted with a sense of energy and excitement that you just don’t find in an average grocery store. The store is immaculate, bright, and beautifully organized, with aisles that seem to stretch on forever, each one brimming with treasures from across Asia. The air is filled with a mix of aromas — freshly steamed buns, grilled fish, and the subtle fragrance of roasted sesame oil — that immediately make you hungry. Everything about this H-Mart exudes quality and care, from the neatly stacked produce to the smiling staff members who always seem eager to help you find what you need.
One of the most impressive aspects of this store is the produce section. It’s a vibrant display of freshness and variety, with fruits and vegetables that you rarely see in traditional American supermarkets. From perfectly ripened persimmons and crisp Korean pears to bundles of fresh bok choy and fragrant Thai basil, every item looks hand-selected and beautifully presented. You can tell that the management here takes pride in sourcing high-quality ingredients, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable considering the freshness and authenticity. There’s also a great balance between Asian specialty items and everyday groceries, making it easy to find everything you need in one trip — whether you’re planning a Korean BBQ night, a Japanese ramen dinner, or just a simple weekday meal.
The seafood section deserves special mention because it’s truly one of the highlights of the Orlando H-Mart experience. The variety is astounding — live fish swimming in tanks, fresh-cut fillets of salmon and yellowtail, plump shrimp, and even exotic offerings like live crabs and clams. The quality rivals that of any dedicated fish market, and the staff working there are incredibly knowledgeable. They’ll happily clean, cut, and prepare your seafood exactly how you want it, which is such a thoughtful service. The meat section is equally impressive, with perfectly marbled cuts of beef ideal for hot pot or Korean barbecue, thinly sliced pork belly, and premium-grade chicken that’s neatly packed and clearly labeled. You can find cuts here that are almost impossible to get anywhere else in Orlando.
Beyond groceries, H-Mart offers a shopping experience that feels like a mini cultural adventure. The aisles are filled with fascinating snacks, sauces, noodles, and drinks from Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, and beyond. It’s the kind of place where you can spend hours exploring — picking up something new every time. There are entire sections dedicated to instant noodles, rice cakes, and sauces, each one offering dozens of brands and flavors. The variety of Korean snacks alone is enough to make anyone’s inner foodie rejoice — from honey butter chips to Pepero sticks and mochi ice cream. You could easily lose track of time just browsing the shelves, discovering products you’ve only ever seen in YouTube food hauls or Korean dramas.
The food court inside H-Mart is another major reason why this location stands out. It’s bustling yet cozy, filled with the delicious aromas of authentic Korean and Asian street food. Whether you’re craving spicy tteokbokki, sizzling bulgogi, crispy Korean fried chicken, or a comforting bowl of ramen, the vendors here deliver the real deal. The dishes are freshly prepared, generously portioned, and packed with flavor. Everything tastes homemade, and it’s the perfect spot to grab lunch or dinner after grocery shopping. The seating area is clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere feels lively but never overwhelming. You’ll often see families, couples, and groups of friends enjoying their meals together, adding to the warm and...
Read moreHard to rate this correctly as I understand it has only been open for a short time. But I can only give my opinion on what I experienced. The stores layout itself was ok as you had all the food/drink restaurants in the front as well as arcade. The rest is the grocery store which is pretty decently sized. Unfortunately because of it being fairly new, the store was stupidly packed (entered Sunday at around 6pm). Literally could barely move and was shoulder to shoulder with people the entire time (left at 8:30pm). You literally couldn't even stop to read any products because there was 50 people behind you pushing and shoving to get through. This is not an exaggeration. I've been to Universal/Disney parks and this was even worse than that. THAT bad. I'm going to assume over the next few months it'll die down quite a bit but honestly if it doesn't then I have 0 interest to return. The "food court" we checked out after shopping, where again, no surprise, the lines were very long and most items were sold out. My daughter managed to get some corn dogs which one she wasn't too high on and when I finally was next in line to order my food (at another food spot) the register lady said "sorry we're closed" when there was literally a sign right behind her that said last call 8:15. It was in fact 7:55 at this time. Imagine walking around for hrs working up an appetite and then getting told their "closed" after waiting in line about 15-20 Mins. Was definitely pretty pissed off. Especially since trying out the food around there was one of the main reasons we even went. And since it was a Sunday everything else was now closed. Mind you there was also about 8 people behind me on line as well. Don't see how hard it would've been to just announce "hey anyone behind this person we won't be taking as we're closing". Was very unprofessional and left a really bad taste in my mouth. Lack of courtesy can not be blamed on it being "opening week". One pro is the store seems like it has almost everything Asian related when it comes to food, drinks, and supplies. All of which I'm a fan of. They even had live seafood in the very back (lobsters ect). Another small complaint I had and maybe I may have been just blind but we could not find a restroom for the life of us. We checked the entire front of the store for my youngest (2 yo) to use the restroom and could find nothing. No signs, or anything neither. I find it literally impossible for their not to be a restroom somewhere in the facility but not having one close to the entrance is crazy. And it would've took another 30mins to walk around the store to look for one because of the sheer amount of people. So a basic need like using the restroom wasn't even doable and we had to leave to find one outside somewhere. All in all my final thoughts are it's a bit over hyped from what all the tik tok and "influencers" have talked about. I can't comment on the food because I was snubbed from eating. The sheer amount of people there was a huge turn off, especially if you live an hr away. No restroom signs is wild. Im trying to be generous with the rating because again it was opening week but I just can't give it anything higher than a 3/5. And that's pushing it. I'll probably check them out again in the future, months from now, but never again to only visit this establishment because of the bad experience me and my family had. IF we happen to be in the area and have a little free time, I will give it another chance and update rating at that time. Moral of the story don't always listen to these tik tok and influencers online. They literally do this for money and will make every and anything look 1000 times better than it actually is. Do your own research and if you have some free time and willing to try it...
Read moreWe braved the chaos of visiting a new and long awaited Asian grocery on a recent Saturday. The parking was fine and there was no wait to enter, with a very short wait to be given a shopping cart. The store is MASSIVE and was very crowded. We'll definitely return when some of the novelty has worn off and we can better browse. What we did see, we liked. The produce section is nice, but had an odd, vaguely unplesant scent... found the culprit! Fresh, packaged durian! You simply cannot contain the scent of that stuff. It wasn't overwhelming by any means, but definitely noticeable in that area. Bought some baby bok choy and a huge container of oyster mushrooms. So much to choose from! We also bought some uni. Lovely and fresh. We were awed by the seafood department. So many fresh items, some of which we'd never seen in a grocery shop here before. Whelks, cockles, a different type of periwinkle (larger with a different shell than we'd ever seen) and innumerable whole fish, some live. Lobster, crab (blue, and HUGE Norwegian king crab) other crab, eel, clams, octopus, baby octopus, squid, shrimp... you get the idea. Far too many to name. Same for the meat selections. Huge variety and cuts of beef, and pork. Same for poultry. Chicken hearts, duck, both whole and parts, chicken hearts, gizzards, along with the "regular bits," rabbit.... Really nice to see the duck legs. Will return for some to confit, at a later date. Huge variety seems to be the hallmark of this store. Noodles, fresh and dried, tofu, soy sauces, every other Asian sauce you can imagine. Yep... and some you've most likely never heard of. Dried mushrooms, rice, all of it. e store that sell things other than food. We didn't have a chance to look those areas over as they were very crowded. Prices range from opening specials, to higher than is available elsewhere. I'd not consider this shop a place for, "bargains," as much as for unimaginable variety. The food "booths" were very popular and there was quite a bit of table seating. However, it was all full, so we didn't try anything. This time. We'll return, spend more time, and be happy that the Orlando area has...
