I recently attended the soft opening of Pocha 93, and I was blown away by the wonderful tastes of Korea that this chic pub has to offer. As the first expansion of the renowned Shin Jung Korean restaurant, which has been a staple in Orlando for over 30 years, Pocha 93 brings a fresh and modern twist to traditional Korean cuisine.

The ambiance is fantastic, with a full-service bar, a cute lounge area, and unique cocktails featuring imported beers and liquors from Korea. The menu is full of delightful Korean small plates, offering chic tapas versions of classics like chicken wings, so-tteok so-tteok (Korean skewers), and pajeon (green onion pancakes).

The Korean chicken wings were the star of the show for us—so flavorful with an out-of-this-world crunch!

They also have a great selection of "gogi-gui" (Korean BBQ) where you can grill the meats yourself, such as beef bulgogi and short ribs. While Pocha 93 offers many staples of Korean BBQ, it's important to note that they don't offer all you can eat and portions of meat and sides (banchan) are all serve a la carte.

The staff were all so friendly and knowledgeable. Tim, the manager, shared that all their offerings are fresh, never frozen, with meats marinated for a minimum of 3 days, ensuring maximum flavor. Our server, Annette, was bubbly and incredibly knowledgeable, guiding us expertly through the menu and making our dining experience even more enjoyable.

If you're looking for a new spot to experience innovative Korean cuisine and a refreshing cocktail in a trendy setting, Pocha 93 is...

first visit: sept 12, 2024 recommended by family, didn't disappoint.. we tried a bunch of stuff from the menu.. some things stood out, while others were meh or didn't quite hit the mark.. place looked clean, and ample seating.. vibe was very good, and it's more of a bar than restaurant. food is closer to a 4.5 than a 5, but due to horrible math by some people who ate ahead, i wanted to offset their grievances and unreasonabledemands.. my favorites are the pork belly and the korean chicken, pairs well with rice and the steamed egg. (altho I've had better steamed egg elsewhere) edemame was very good, and the cheese and corn -the dessert was also the way to end a meal.. what i didn't try though was the soup, kimchi rice and the "tok-boki" -am not a fan of spicy foods, and coincidentally, these are the items that didn't impress the gf, my niece and nephew. i liked the pork-something with the sweet sauce.. and with Viet as our server, it was a very pleasant experience.. parking is a bit cramped though -not a whole lot for the venue size.. also, the drink my niece got "tasted good" (as per the 3 genZs with me, they shared a pitcher of soju) all in all, I'd come back.. although $230 for 5 people is a tad bit pricey for a dinner date, you can't put a price on service and experience. everyone in the restaurant greeted us and thanked us.. awesome staff! ps: no tip necessary as they include it in the bill. pps: i must stress that viet is an awesome server! made us laugh quite a lot!...

Pocha 93 was a unique experience. We had a great date here because of the amazing hospitality and the attentive server. First time being a Korean Pub so I had no idea what to expect.

Food: we ordered way too much food. So choose wisely if you are two person. We did spicy kimchi stew ramen called option Dul, and we added wings and two side dishes. Because we had to wait extra time for the spicy kimchi stew, the manager gave us two free appetizers so we were super stuffed. Their veggie mandu was probably one of the best one I had in Florida. The stew was more enough to feed 3-4 people. It was delicious and very well balanced. We enjoyed the Korea wings as well.

The downside for this type of food is a bit pricey. I get it that it is unique but still. It should meet bar prices, not higher tier. However, they do have a lot happy hour specials and a new brunch menu. 4/5

Service: amazing service by the server and manager. Both were super attentive and they definitely make their customers are enjoying their experience. The server seems to be very knowledgeable about their dishes. 5/5

Atmosphere: awesome vibe with great vintage decorations. Definitely transformed like you were in a Korean bar. It even has a KAROEKE stage area. It has a lot space for seatings and it set up very well. 5/5

I would definitely come back to try their secret menu item like their secret...
