Delicias Restaurant — Restaurant in Odessa

Food was ok, what really bothered my husband and I is when we went to pay the OWNER was cashing us out and charged us $71.08!! For 2 adults and a child. And for anyone who knows they just get the ticket tell you how much you have to pay and not even offer a receipt so if ur not careful you don’t even know what they charged! Rigo (the owner) cashed out 2 lady’s before us so he was the only one at the cash register . When my husband asked why so much he went back and supposably looked at the ticket and said “oh yea I did over charge you” and he sure was charging us over $27 then he told the waitresses to make sure they open the cash register which makes no sense because he was the only one at the cash register charging!! I guess he didn’t know what to do or say since he purposely over charged there is no way it could have been a mistake how he was trying to make it seem. It’s just a shame how a business owner can’t be decent enough to charge right most people don’t even check and just pay so that’s more money in his pocket! Point of the story make sure they charge you correctly everywhere you go but...

I have never eaten at this restaurant but my five stars is for the owner a person named Rigo. Not sure if hes the owner or an employee. I live in Oklahoma and my mom lives in Odessa. She was diagnosed with Covid I can't be around her and she lives by herself. I called this restaurant to let them know my situation and that i was trying to get food out to my mom but wasn't seeing soups on doordash web. After sesrching he OFFERED TO TAKE MY MOTHER FOOD HIMSELF. I honestly don't have the words to describe how THANKFUL I am of him for going out of his way to do this for my mom. The food was horrible!!! It was a cute little place and usually your hole in the wall places have some of the best food, but this was awful. The server was nice and came around enough for the time we were there. The food came out fast, but my husbands was a little on the cold side. I had tacos thinking they can't be messed up in any way and I was wrong. It was like they didn't even drain the ground beef. My plate was soggy with grease and it was all I could taste, leaving my mouth feel as though I rinsed it with cooking oil.
