My recent visit to Ponerosa was, unfortunately, a far cry from the enjoyable bar experience I had hoped for. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and the negative energy was palpable. The bar owner's behavior was nothing short of shocking and highly inappropriate.

As I engaged in a conversation with some fellow patrons, the bar owner decided to jump in and share his unsolicited and offensive views. He went on a rant about how babies are dumb and how he believed humans, in general, were stupid. This interruption quickly escalated into an attempt to provoke a fight, which added unnecessary tension to the already uneasy ambiance.

Throughout the evening, I observed the bar owner's disturbing behavior from a distance. He appeared to be trying to get women excessively drunk with the apparent intention of taking them home. This predatory behavior was not only offensive but deeply concerning. It made the entire environment feel unsafe and uncomfortable, especially for female patrons.

Ponerosa's toxic atmosphere and the bar owner's aggressive and manipulative conduct are deeply disheartening. A place that should encourage camaraderie and relaxation turned into an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this bar to anyone.

In conclusion, Ponerosa fell far short of my expectations for a friendly and enjoyable bar experience. The behavior of the bar owner was nothing short of abhorrent, and the overall environment felt threatening. Until significant changes are made to ensure a safe and respectful atmosphere, I would advise avoiding this establishment altogether. OTR trucker, after years finally stopped in. Very relaxed local pub, lots of tables, several tvs, pool table, 10 stool bar ... nice crowd, great juke box, band that was scheduled didn't play but they have an outside, fenced in patio area out back. Easy to manuver rig around building with room for 8 or so trucks in the back. Food is very basic - shame, a real thick, beef burger would be worthy of a 5 star review. Their's are pressed beef patties, probably frozen that are ok with some ketchup, cheese and bacon but are devoid of any real beef taste. Was good to unwind and have a few drinks and meet other people. Will definitely come back when traveling through. Left August 2nd due to max bartender sucks shook hand instead of asking if wanted another beer which equals lost sales for this establishment and the cost for a bake and take pizza at 10.00 for red baron or di Giornios is outrageous do better please!!!
