Runza Restaurant — Restaurant in Ogallala

Unfortunately, during my last visit to Runza I was met with possibly the rudest employee I’ve ever seen. She was extremely condescending and dismissive during my entire interaction with her. Frankly, it made me question whether I should even finish ordering my food or go elsewhere. I gave this establishment, and employee the benefit of the doubt and stayed. Sadly my misfortune didn’t end there. My food came back wrong, after she had repeated my order back to me correctly. Again I decided to put my feelings aside and attempt to enjoy my meal. After finishing my food, I decided I wanted to try the new lemon blueberry shake and was met with a different employee. His demeanor was completely different and a stark contrast to his co-worker. He happily took my order and was incredibly respectful throughout our interaction. His actions reduced my feelings of disgust and made my experience...

Quick and decent fast-food stop to taste some local sustenance and grab a quick bite, and the restrooms were clean enough too. ••• Would have enjoyed the experience much more except for the for the young punk working the drive thru who kept bullying the girl at the register. I even had to interject to defend the nice young lady taking orders, who was verbally abused by this petty blowhard for no reason other than she was answering our honest question inquiring what exactly a runza was (our first time). He pretended to work while everyone else hustled, and this pale tyrant, though of decent physical build, was a little man in every other way. Plus, he kept touching the register with his food safety gloves, which totally negates the point. I only hope this young man can fix his attitude before he gets a little older and someone else...

So I'm a big Runza fan but I must say this location is the worst. Food is always a gamble on if it's going to be hot and taste good, or cold and soggy. This last visit was after the solar eclipse and we stopped in to get a couple runzas. What we were served in my opinion were two not nearly baked enough cold meat and veggie sacks. The color of the bread was as white as notebook paper and yet the filling was lukewarm at best. This location really needs to go. Also if you need to use the restroom be forewarned. This Runza is part of a gas station that has only 1 stall for the men's room. EVERY time I have ever visited this location there has been a line at least 3 people long. Someone at Runza, please read this review and make an effort to build a stand alone store that will provide better service...
