I really tried to hold off for a long time writing this review.. because I used to really love Daily Rise. It was the best coffee spot in all of Ogden. Unfortunately, it's gone waaaaay downhill lately. The quality of the coffee is still amazing, which is the only reason I'm giving 3 stars. All of the specialty drinks and unique and always delicious. The problem is that they are sooo slow. Feel like they take 10 minutes per car. I've given so many chances to this place, and after today, I will not be returning. The wait time in line is simply outrageous!! Takes almost 30 minutes to get through just for my one drink. I'm assuming it's because they are now offering breakfast burritos and everyone wants to order that. They can't seem to keep up with the drink making and food prep. Many of us don't want the food and just want coffee, so it's not worth it to wait in line forever for one drink. Maybe invest in more batistas, and another espresso machine and drink prep station to keep up with your customers. If you don't mind waiting forever for a drink, this is the place for you! If you're on your way to work and want coffee first, I'd recommend NOT...
Read moreTo preface thise, I've been going to Daily Rise since before my 7yo son was born. My recent visits have been severely disappointing and today was kind of the final straw. The past 3 times I've gone my order was mixed up, had insanely messy cups, or strait up ignored because the staff was playing around instead of paying attention. Today someone walked out and took 3 cars orders, and I myself had 3 drinks I was ordering on top of that. When I finally got to the window the staff was playing around, which made the 20 minute wait that much more frustrating. Today they couldn't get my customer number working... i miss the cards. This all ended in all 3 of my drinks being incorrect, and I didn't want to wait another 20 minutes for them to remake them.
This is a place I've been getting coffee for almost a decade. I dont like what's been happening since your expansion. I was glad to see growth in the company since I got to know the staff quite well. But it seems that the culture has changed along with the progress. Recent trips have driven me to avoid coming in, and today was the last.
Best of luck, ill brew my own coffee from home for half the cost...
Read moreI missed the memo that everyone that works out at Mt. Ogden CrossFit needs to also have a job here, but I was lucky enough that no one ever looked too close into it to find that I don’t work here.
These guys have great coffee! Whenever I go to get coffee at the 28th-ish and Washington location I am greeted with a smile and some weird looks since it is a drive through only, but I always walk there. I’m sure that the cars in line are annoyed that I am queuing up with them, but as long as this establishment allows me to walk through the drive through I will. I am 2 blocks away and it is definitely more inconvenient to drive that distance than to just walk. Also, I feel like it is a more enjoyable experience to walk through the car line. You take up less space, and more people can get served that way.
Short story long, go get...
