I love a good hole in the wall taqueria, but I’m mystified by all the good reviews for this place. I ordered two chicken tacos, “Mexicano” style (cilantro and onion on small soft taco shells). What came was was only slightly more appealing and flavorful than shredded boiled chicken on a piece of white bread. I barely choked down one of them, after which I could barely look at the second. I realize the standard Utah palate is famously bland, and maybe Taco Taco has calibrated its offerings accordingly. I like spice and flavor, though. If you do too, steer clear. (The super tasty, straight-out-of-the-deep-fryer chips that come before a meal are the only reason this isn’t a one star review.)

Read moreI havent been here in a while. The carne asada tacos were delicious then but even more delicious now. Im not sure what changed in their recipe, but it tastes better than i remembered and they were already my favorite. I usually order mine without pico or cilantro. But these are still very flavorful without either of them. I had them for lunch and came back the same day for dinner.
Im not sure who is running the place, my guess is the man that took my order and cooked the food. Hes a problem solver. And and is really good at...
