My boyfriend and I were spending the weekend up in Portsmouth and decided to make the quick drive into Maine for some fresh lobster rolls. We read about a couple lobster shacks down by the water, but to our dismay we discovered they were closed for the season. By this time we were starving. As we were walking back to our car, we stumbled upon Jackies Too, the only place that seemed to be open around there. Sure enough they had lobster rolls on the menu for a decent price so went in. It's situated right on the water so the views are beautiful. We sat at the bar. He got a beer and I a glass of Pinot Grigio. Our food came out quickly. We started with the crab cakes which were crispy and packed full of delicious crab. Next we split a 1/2 pound lobster roll with fries which was perfect for the two of us. The lobster was incredibly fresh and the roll itself was yummy. We were a little worried about quality after glancing at some reviews, but luckily we were not disappointed. The service was okay. Overall, Jackies satisfied our goal of eating a fresh Maine lobster roll so we left quite happy!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ During our vacation, we decided to explore some of the local dining spots and came across Jackie’s Too. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel relaxed. We ordered their signature Fish & Chips, and it did not disappoint! The fish was cooked to absolute perfection — crispy golden batter on the outside with tender, flaky fish inside. The fries were just the right balance of crisp and fluffy, making the entire dish a real standout. You can tell a lot of care goes into preparing their food. What really elevated our experience was the service. Edith took care of us, and she was simply outstanding. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind, she made sure everything was just right throughout our meal. It’s not often you come across service that leaves such a lasting impression, but Edith made our day. If you’re visiting the area and want great food paired with exceptional service, Jackie’s Too is a must-try. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We went to Perkins Cove to celebrate my husbands birthday, while on vacation. This was the first restaurant we went to check out and because of it's amazing views of the cove and short wait time, we decided to stay. The wait time for an amazing table/view was relatively short (15-20mins) considering it was 4th of July week. My husband got the grilled swordfish and vegetables and I got the chicken broccoli alfredo(sans broccoli). My husband claims that his meal was delicious and the veggies were perfectly cooked. My pasta was also very good! The grand total was under $80, which included 2 mixed drinks and two local ales. All and all it was a great experience! The only reason we only gave it a 4 out of 5 is because we waited 20+ minutes for our food. However, the view was worth the wait! One more little bit, if you don't eat seafood, there are not too many options! But, I'm pretty sure that that is every restaurant on the coast!

You're paying for the view and that's about it. For several years, my wife, mother-in-law and I have been eating at Jackie's Too. Up until now, we were always satisfied enough to keep returning, since - assuming you're able to get a table outside - the view is unbeatable. This year, we had an experience that really caused us to re-consider whether or not this is a place we want to keep giving our business to.

  1. The night started with a 30 minute wait outside, during which time, they usually let you in to grab a drink from the bar. When I tried to get one they said they were not allowing this to happen, since the bartenders were so busy, there was a back-log of drink orders preventing servers from being able to get their patrons' drinks in a timely manner.
  2. When our names finally got called, we were asked to leave our baby's stroller outside by the bus boys' booth. This is not uncommon and I never have a problem leaving the stroller in a place that is staffed... but by the end of the night, they had closed up the booth and left the stroller (which costs over $500) outside unsupervised, when there was plenty of room now available indoors.
  3. MOST IMPORTANTLY, we ordered a rather large meal and a few drinks. While clearing some appetizer dishes from the table, our server knocked over my glass of red wine, which spilled all over my cargo shorts and shattered next to me. He apologized and cleaned up the broken glass, but I needed to ask him for club soda and a cloth to try and soak up the wine from my shorts (which were clearly ruined). It is not in my nature to rip into, or shame a server for making an honest mistake, so I did not kick up a stink. However, in my experience, any restaurant/waiter that is serious about keeping their customers happy is quick to compensate when they mess up (the Kelsey's in Thunder Bay, Ontario once compensated my wife and I BOTH of our meals when she found a single hair in her pasta). Lo and behold, after sitting in soaking wet shorts for the entire night, the bill comes without a single item comped! They could have at least waived the glass of wine that landed up all over me!
  4. While driving back to our hotel, we all realized that none of us were particularly impressed with our meals. The steamed clam appetizer was of an OK quantity. My wife's lobster was decent, but came with a very bland rice pilaf. My baked stuffed haddock was a 4/5, but came with very ordinary green beans and mashed potatoes (that you don't even have the option of dressing up with gravy). My mother-in-law's shrimp scampi was also bland and nothing special. We all agreed that the complimentary bread you get at the beginning (which does taste good) was the only culinary step they take to go the extra mile. It took this really bad experience for us to finally realize this place relies entirely on its location to justify its prices, and does not at all feel the need to ensure good customer service or even food. Next time, we will be trying Oarweed's, Barnacle Billy's or the...

Hello, I just wanted to leave a review of an experience I had in your restaurant on September 24th around 3:30PM. My work colleague and I were in town on business and had taken the Marginal Way. We were amazing by the beautiful views. It was hotter than we planned and when we got to the end of the walk, we ended at your restaurant which was not busy. We clearly read your “wait to be seated sign” as requested. We simply asked for a table of 2. There was no questions as to what we were having or if we were just there for drinks as it was definitely between lunch and dinner. We got to our table and ordered drinks. Our drinks came out and we were asked to order. When we said we were “just there for drinks” the waitress told us in a highly unprofessional manner that in order to sit at a table with a view you must eat. I would have no problem with this “rule,” if we were clearly asked our Intention for the table when being seated or if there was a sign that said “you must eat in order to sit at our tables.” I would also understand this, If the restaurant was packed and we were wasting seats by just having waters vs your overpriced Watered Down drinks. Unfortunately, What your waitress did not take the time it realize is that if she would have kindly let us sit, we would have had enough drinks to more than make up for the price of the meal. She was more interested in shaming us to a seat behind the bar as if we had snuck in vs. being truly seated by YOUR hostess. Perhaps you should train your hostesses to ask these questions, so you don’t offend more potential customers. If I were a lesser person, I would have left you with the drinks and non-payment due to your horrible customer service. Instead, we did the right thing, paid our bill, and left knowing that any time anyone brings up the Marginal Highway, We will tell them about our experience at your restaurant. Thank your for adequately tainting our views of Ogunquit. Based on your google reviews, you already know this though! Keep on...

Really surprised to see the low reviews on here. We ate here last week on Thursday night. Had a great meal. I had the seafood fettucine. Huge chunks of lobster and at least a half dozen each large scallops and shrimp in a nice sauce. The other 3 adults at the table had equally enjoyable and tasty meals, both fish and non-fish. Food came piping hot, and was served a respectful time after the chowder and (quite large and ftesh) salads were finished aND had been removed. The beer selection included some local brews. Our daughter said her martini was very good. Beyond the food and drinks, the service was superb! Howard our server was attentive, well informed on what the dishes were, and notably did what one rarely sees happen in many restaurants these days: walked by the table often and slowed to allow any of us to ask for something if we needed it, but did not interrupt us in the middle of our conversations. This is one of those small things that makes a big difference and is notable since it usually only happens in the finer restaurants. Clearly there is a sense at Jackie's that folks eating here are lookng for a relaxing experience. The entire staff was friendly. Restrooms were spacious and clean coed style singles. In the restaurant there were a couple of large groups, a few families with kids, and tables with just a few adults like us. It was a good vibe. And of course the best sunset view in Ogunquit dining. We stay in Ogunquit every year for several nights in early summer, and have eaten good meals in many of the restaurants all around includimg a few quite nearby Jackie's Too. Most places serve good food, but we all agreed that our meal this night ranked at the top of all we have had. We...
