For years we have been coming to this restaurant every time we came to Boardman. The last few visits have been less and less impressive. Today was very disappointing. We came in and got our drinks. I asked for sweetener for my tea and the server never brought it out. 15 mins later I asked again and she then brought it. We ordered the stuffed hot pepper as an app because they were out of calamari. I ordered the uncle Artie sandwich, fries and a monkey salad. My other half ordered a pasta bowl.

When the food came out, the app came at the same time as our meals, when it should have been served first. The sauce on the pasta bowl was cool on the outside and congealed. I was never served the monkey bowl salad, my sandwich was good. The fries were wilted and cold like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp. It looked as if they forgot to put the app in first, then had our entrees sit while they prepared the pepper as an afterthought.

A few mins after we started eating another server came to our table and asked if she could cash us out because our previous server had to leave. The server came back and told us she had to leave to pick up her kid from school. I thought it was inappropriate that it seemed she was trying to guilt us to still make a tip off of a table she wasn't finishing. So the new server forfeit making anything and the original server rushed us through our meal after giving terrible service.

Also, we planned on staying beforehand to have desert as it was a birthday meal. Since we felt so rushed we opted to not have desert and just go somewhere else. Being as how the server left two minutes before we did anyways, I don't see why she couldn't have stayed and finished her table.

Everyone was nice and polite, but there was clearly a staffing issue that caused such chaos. I'm sure there are ways to transfer tables to another server if you have an issue and have to leave early. After this experience and the last few we've had I'll not be going out of my way to come back. Very disheartening as we have been coming for years. Hope they get it...

We placed our pick up order online, not until we placed and paid for the order did it tell us we would have to wait for an hour for pickup. Get to the restraunt at the time they gave me for pick up went inside only to find they couldn't find the order, finally found it and sent it back to the kitchen waited an additional 15 minutes only to go home to find they missed two salads that I ordered extra along with a drink. I called to request a refund, I paid by card should be able to refund, right? Ha, wrong. My choices were to drive all the way back, which is about a 15 to 20 minute drive to get there, to pick it up OR the next time I come they will add it to my order for free IF I call ahead to remind them?? What??? I paid by card refund the missing product by card!!! After reading current reviews it sounds like a going theme for them to "forget" stuff from the order. I will give them credit for the food What we did get was very good. However we come to your restraunt to support local but it sounds like you don't even care enough to be sure your customers have their entire order or are satisfied...

I went to dine here a little over a year ago and there was one waitress working the entire restaurant and she warned me it would be a long wait due to the cook walking off the job earlier that day. We agreed to wait anyway, and the food was just awful. I felt terrible for the waitress for patrons getting mad and yelling at her due to the lack of management/ownership skills. So, we thought we would give Antone’s another chance last night. We sat down and, once again, the ONE AND ONLY waitress working the entire restaurant warned us of the long wait due to the kitchen preparing a large catering order. Again, the waitress was dealing with rude patrons due to the wait time. She was literally running herself to exhaustion. I will never return to this restaurant and they do not even deserve to open their doors each day. Where are the owners and their family members to serve the patrons food after an hour wait??? Decent food but horrible environment. You all should be ashamed...

Pretty good Italian creations. Their bread is awesome. They do all pepperoni dished well from the pizza to the knuckle sandwich which is a delicious stack of them in their wonderful bread. However their menu is probably the biggest missed opportunity I've ever seen in the hundreds of the restaurants I've visited and reviewed. For instance my first order here was via doordash to find a menu. Upon finding abysmal descriptions, I went to their website to see if it was shortened for simple ordering. Nope. For the first time orderer how in the heck am I supposed to know what Sunday sauce, monkey salad or the many other oddball descriptions listed. Cool funny names cool, no description really? Do you want new customers? FYI monkey salad is a small salad with tuna chunks. Glad I only spent 1$ on it since I found that out the hard way.

Antone’s Kitchen in Boardman is a small but cozy spot that offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly our food came out. The portion sizes are very generous—you definitely get your money’s worth in that regard. While the experience was enjoyable overall, the food leaned more toward quantity than quality. Everything we tried was fine, but nothing really stood out as particularly flavorful or memorable. It didn’t quite capture that authentic Italian feel I was hoping for, and some of the dishes felt a bit one-note. That said, if you’re looking for a casual place with big portions and quick service, Antone’s fits the bill. It’s a solid local option, even if it’s not one I’d go out of my way to revisit for the food alone.

Nice locally owned chain where at this particular location, your made to feel like family...that is liked! Josie, our usual server is beyond pleasant and accommodating and always with a smile. It is a RARE thing where your greeted upon arrival with a "HI guy's! How have you been?" This alone makes the trip worth while to the Boardman local. Tonight we had the Hot Sausage Scalopini and the Antone's Salad Deluxe and as you can see, the portion sizes are immense and the flavors that leave your mouth watering for more. Ended up taking half of it home. Not bad for $30 including drinks, a side salad for the scalopini and all you can eat rolls which are always served warm. As long as Josie is here, we will continue to return and enjoy feeling like we're at home WITHOUT having to do the dishes afterwards!
