Captain D's — Restaurant in Ohio

First off the tap feature on the credit card machine did not work. Employee informed us the manager or owner says it’s just user error. Well a monkey could tap it so hmmm. Maybe it’s intermittent but we don’t have issues anyplace else and they had multiple people who had issues. That’s minor but after the experience I felt I’ll express all of the issues.

The fish is way over seasoned. It was hot but that’s about all I can say for the meal.

Chicken tenders cold Broccoli cold Didn’t get breadstick so went for that Baked potato hot but old very old Rice cold Fries cold Breaded shrimp cold The plus was given a large cup for ice water which is a bonus

But here is when it went south. When three employees is loudly discussing other employees who they hate who they can’t stand and managers and the one whining about the other one he works with not liking him and the conversation was loud and obnoxious then all of a sudden they start talking low. We could hear them talking low then start laughing and taking loud again makes one think they are making fun of the guests in the restaurant which we were the only one in this dirty unkept place. They have plenty of time to run their tongues they have time to get a soapy bucket of water out and start scrubbing areas of the place that needs a good deep clean past the normal just wipe down. Poor management poor experience. A lot of money for awful food that we ate to not waste our money or get spit in the food....

The absolute worst service I have ever experienced showed up to the speaker exactly 5:58 pm and sat at the window till 6:25 pm not sure why it took them so long on an order for 2 people there was 3 workers in front from what I could see and 1 girl was just standing in front eating and playing on her phone if she was on break she should've been in back somewhere or maybe even in lobby at a table not sitting in front by the counter stuffing her face where customers can see then another girl was playing on her phone as well and as there was a line building up the girl that was supposed to be taking orders took off the headset and by the time we got the food the lady handing it out had the nastiest look on her face and for what damn reason all we did was order our food and wait patiently at the window even said thank you when we got the food but for whatever reason she just wasn't having it hell even on my worst days I was never that disrespectful to customers where I used to work and we had way less staff then they did here and we still managed to get orders out fast and without an attitude definitely won't be wasting our time here ever again and damn sure don't recommend coming here unless they get better workers I just hope the food is worth it considering how long it took to prepare I know 1 thing for certain that it definitely isn't worth all...

Sorry about this review compared to my last one. My wife and I stopped at the same Captain D's that we always do, but we're very disappointed in everything in the service when we ordered, cashier( Kylee ) was very unfriendly to us. We tried to order the White Fish and she told us that they were out of White Fish, Like It Was Our Fault. Very rude. Also asked her about Senior or Veterans Discounts. To Bad. The restaurant was a mess. Floors needed swept. All tables were dirty and when asked by another customer with 6 people if she would clean the tables, got mad and clean the table off onto the floor. We were all very disappointed with the food and service today. 07/01/2024 at 18.23. Also, the fish we had was cooked in old oil as were the hush puppies.
