Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Ohio

ABSOLUTELY APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE!

I am still fuming as I write this, and I am APPALLED, by the utter incompetence and ridiculousness that we encountered at your establishment!

Let me start from the beginning. Yesterday, we ordered a 4-piece chicken meal, specifically requesting 3 dark pieces and 1 spicy breast. What did we get? A WRONG ORDER, with a non-spicy breast instead of the spicy one we paid for!

Unbelievable! We took the time to drive back to your store, only to be told that you were "closed" at 9 pm, despite your posted hours clearly stating that you are open until 10 pm!

The manager on duty told us to return the next day, and we did, only to be met with a DIFFERENT manager, who seemed completely uninterested in resolving the issue!

This new manager had the audacity to demand that we return the incorrect chicken breast from the previous night! Are you kidding me?! That chicken was my husband's dinner, and you want it back after it's been sitting overnight?! What are you going to do with it? Resell it?!

We're not trying to scam you; we just want the chicken we PAID FOR! But no, instead of apologizing and offering a replacement or a refund, your manager tells us that they can't compensate us because they need that one piece of chicken back!

And to add insult to injury, we had to buy another piece of chicken for $2, just to have dinner! Your food may be good, but your attitude is WORSE THAN APPALLING!

We will NEVER, EVER be back to your store again! Your customer service is a JOKE! You've lost two loyal customers, and we will make sure to share our horrific experience with friends, family, and online review platforms!

Get your act together, train your staff, and start caring about...

Wish I could give a negative star rating. Just went through the drive through the customer service was Terrible. They were out of spicy chicken strips so I ordered the original asking her when they would get the spicy in saying i don’t know with a attitude. She asked me what type of side I would like and I said just add another honey biscuit apparently they don’t do that there I don’t know of it was because she was being lazy or improperly trained but she got very frustrated when I asked the price difference between the two of course the side would have cost more than the biscuit. When I pointed it out to her she said in her little tone she had with me to pull forward. I wanted to drive off but politely I went and paid for my food asking for the manager which never did come and speak to me. I asked the lady that took my order as well as another lady what the corporate office phone number was they closed the door and took them 5 minutes to give me a piece of paper with a Dayton Ohio phone number on it. Do I look that stupid to think the corporate office is in Dayton Ohio I mean come on lol. I called the number and some lady answered saying hello nothing about being the corporate office of church’s chicken. When I pointed that out to her she hung up on me. The piece of paper have the names Donnetta listed “store manager” and Joseph Mayes not listed as anything. I will be contacting coorperate. P.s. they are always out of spicy chicken I think it is because they are too lazy to make it....

My first issue is that there was no spicy chicken available. I would expect that if it was later during the day but I would think that I came early enough before the dinner rush. My second issue is that when I got home I discovered that the two mashed potatoes that I ordered to go with my 10-piece meal was not in either bag. If I had not ordered okra and biscuits we would have had no sides at all. Half of our family doesn't even eat okra so they didn't get any sides. She asked me what sides I wanted and I ordered two mashed potatoes and gravy which is on the receipt, but I am confused as to why it says only one when I ordered two mashed potatoes with the meal and the extra large okra as an additional side. My third issue is that the chicken tasted like it was not seasoned at all. I had to drown it in hot sauce to give it any flavor at all. I haven't used hot sauce on my chicken since I was a teenager, and I'll be 41 on the 15th! The drinks that I ordered were handed to me with the soda dripping all over the sides from being overfilled. They didn't even attempt to wipe the cups off before handing them to me and it was spilling out of the lid. I had to ask for napkins to wipe them off myself. Missing the two large orders of mashed potatoes really ruined the dinner because half of the family didn't have a side to go with their chicken. I'm giving 2 stars because the service was fast, the biscuits were good, and the drive thru worker...
