EDIT: so I went to the DiBella's website and also made a complaint and within a very short amount of time I received an email from someone within the corporate line. They thanked me for my feedback and assured me that they would work on it to make people more aware when customers are there and not be so focused on tasks. They sent me a $20 coupon for my next visit and I went back on a Saturday of course it was a little later in the day and they were not very busy but they were probably still filling online orders. Things were much more improved and was more like the DiBella's I was used to going to in Strongsville Ohio. So I'm updating my review and management within the chain is very good in addressing concerns. I recommend Uncle Louie but I would go light on the mustard because they still struggle with portioning of condiments. The mustard overpowers the flavor of everything else and it loses something
I walked into the sub shop at 10:21 and stood at the counter while a man with some gray hair and a woman were working at the grill and counter and the woman looked at me at least one time and so did the man. He made some comment to her about these doordash deliveries and do they realize that these Subs aren't going to be hot when they get them. Apparently they don't appreciate business because neither one of them said we will be with you in a minute or anything. I walked out at 10:25 a.m. DiBella's in general is my favorite sub place. But the Boardman Ohio location just lacks complete customer service and are oblivious to a customer standing there waiting. Maybe they should get a bell on their front door or something, if they are that clueless and oblivious I'm going to call now and see if they're open for walk-in customers LOL
So I called into the store and the woman answered and I made a comment to her about them not paying attention at all and she said no we're open I said well I was there for 4 minutes and neither of you paid attention. You were too busy complaining about doordash orders. Then she handed the phone to the guy and I complained about the same thing and he said I'm sorry we were busy filling other orders. I said so you just don't pay attention to people standing at the counter or tell them you'll be there in a minute? I told him he lost a customer and he shouldn't complain about doordash orders out loud and that it's unprofessional! He said I'm sorry you feel that way in a condescending tone. I hope to God he's not the owner of the shop because he should have his DiBella's franchise removed. Because he doesn't provide the quality that DiBella's has given me in the past or even close to the...
Read moreI will NEVER eat at the voardman location again. To start off I brought my family of 7 there for dinner , and Immediately The woman i assume was in charge ,considering she was wearing a black shirt unlike the rest, rolled her eyes at us and mumbled something under her breath to the young man taking our order that made him star and grin. Then as my husband ordered he asked for bacon, and the woman : Marie Martinez, proceeded to tell my husband it would take 20 mi utes to cook the bacon. Now ive never worked for a Dibellas, however I have worked in food for a LONG time, for multipal sub places, and I can tell you that unless dibellas is something super different , the bacon comes pre cooked and is heated upon request, and it does NOT take 20 mins to heat. This tells me, again working in the food industry as long as I have that she just didnt feel like going to grab bacon from the back. Then we continue down to register and she makes every single one of us repeat our orders. now this is frustrating for two reasons : 1.) Beacuse she has already made us all feel very unwelcomed and annoyed 2.) there were 6 different subs. that they wrote down on reciept type papers, you mean she couldnt use those to ring us in ,? As a subway manaegr even we were able to do multipal subs in an easier fashin . Then when i asked about using the papers she proceeded to get smart with me and tell ume that if we all repeat what we order ir would be just fine . I have never felt more unwelcome in a resturant setting in my life. i know we wont return and I will be spreading the word. if your managers dont like their jobs so much that they are willing to treat customers so poorly then maybe they are in the...
Read moreConsidered one of my favorite spots for many years up until recently. DiBella's always delivered on quality and quantity for the dollar amount you paid, and with competitors right across the street it was easy to see why they were always busy. Up until 2022, I would recommend this shop to anyone who asked where to go to eat out in this area.
Now however, the quality and quantity of your product received has dropped significantly. Picked up 3 old fashion philly steaks (chicken and steak varieties) for my family and when I got home was shocked by the larges I ordered having hardly any meat. The store was not busy when I ordered these (only one in line) and it was around 2PM EDT or so. The chicken was drier than the desert, the steak had no flavor beside the condiment on that sub, and overall I felt like I was eating bread and not a sandwich... It was quite the dissapointment from my usual.
So I tested them and went back a week later and got one sandwich for myself before doing some shopping. Unfortunately the experience was the same. Nearly $14 for a large Philly Chicken with onions, peppers, mushrooms, cheese, tomato, and mayo and I received nearly no meat. Each bite was more toppings than meat, and again it wasn't busy - nobody in line but myself and all others were eating that were seated.
I'd recommend this store only if you don't care for Subway, because the quality for your dollar has been lost here. Whether a change in their product delivery or their store management, I don't know, but this store has changed and not...
