Emmanuel's Pizza & Restaurant — Restaurant in Ohio

My brother and his GF came in to town the Friday after Christmas, could not make Christmas due to weather. I had seen a lot of great reviews about this place, and my brother likes to try and order things from local places versus chain restaurants. So I wanted to treat. Ordering was difficult, not on GH or DD, was on Upslice or some app like that. Tried to call numerous times, published phone # gave a recorded message and hung up multiple times, could not speak to an actual person. So ordered a large sausage pizza for my brother and his GF. Myself and my roommate wanted burgers, and we also ordered 2 sides of fries. Literally took 75 minutes, and my driver called me upset, said they handed her the pizza and she asked where the burgers were, and the man there told her they don't have a griddle or charbroiler to make burgers! She then asked well what about the fries, nope, no deep fryer to make fries. She felt so bad, but I told her don't worry about it, it's not her fault. By that time over 75 minutes later, too late to order anything else. Thank goodness we ordered the large pizza instead of a small one so there was at least enough for the four of us. Filed a complaint with that Upslice app or whatever it was, they never did refund me any money back on my bankcard. And when I put a FB review, the owner commented back that "there always has to be one", instead of offering to make things right or even offer a discount on our next order. The pizza was very good. But 75 minutes and he couldn't even call us to say hey we don't have burgers or fries, would you like something else. And then his ride comment back, well, I don't think I will ever be ordering anything from there again. E Plenty of other pizza and Calzone...

DELICIOUS Pizza! Emmanuel has brought some much needed taste and flavor back to the west-side! I have so far only ordered his NY Style Pizza and Tossed salad so far (2nd visit this week). All of the ingredients of his Pizza and salad tasted crisp & fresh. The sauce is great! His toppings aren't skimpy. Awesome affordable prices. Emmanuel seems like a really cool guy, very friendly, and he not only makes a bomb-axx pizza but also keeps the place clean and inviting. Tried their pizza for the first time today; a 14" Chicago deep dish with pepperoni. The gentlemen behind the counter, I think the owner, was a great man. The pizza crust was great! Perfectly balanced between a firm crust and a fluffy inside, the cheese was excellent, and the pepperoni complimented it perfectly.

The issue I ran into was the sauce. The sauce I got on the top of my pizza was a bit on the watery side and lacked enough flavor/impact to bring it all together into a darn near perfect Chicago deep dish. I may have just gotten a bad pizza, but I will come back and try again to see if that...
