If you love Mediterranean food, then you are in for a real treat! In our hometown we have an amazing restaurant called Kabob House - Mediterranean cuisine that serves the most delectable food and desserts. This owner really knows how to make his customers feel special. He greets you with a friendly smile, asks if it's your first time and recommends some options based on what you like. Once seated they immediately serve you a bowl of some mouth watering lentil soup which is sooo delicious!! We did not have this time because lentils bother our stomachs but I have had it before. There is no menu when you walk in the menu is on the board. Hannah had chicken kabob platter and I had steak shish kabobs platter. I forgot they bring pita bread and this delicious sauce for dipping which is a garlic and salsa type sauce which has a kick. I forgot to tell her we can't have bread. While waiting for the food, owner walks around and talks to all the guests. Food was soo scrumptious, I especially love their jasmine rice. While waiting for our food he brought a cup of Turkish tea served in this gold studded beautiful tea set. Hannah had a sip and liked it. One thing that caught my attention was that he has a young man that works back in the grill area with Down Syndrome. Let me tell you as a mom of a child with special needs this makes my heart so happy to see. I watched how they interacted with him. They always were smiling, guiding him and treating him very kind. You could tell he liked working there. This speaks volumes about the type of owner he is! Such a kind man! He did give Hannah a macaron on our way out which she devoured! I can't recommend this restaurant enough!! Not even 1 bad review on Google!! Please support his business!!

Read moreThe Kabob House is a dining experience. It was our first visit. We sat at the counter and were welcomed by Mehmet, the owner, and served lentil soup as an appetizer. He asked us a few questions and then said 'I have your order' and told us to help ourselves to a choice from a very well stocked drink case. Shortly, we were brought plates with chicken and steak kabobs, kafta, hummus, rice and salad, along with pitas and sauces. After dinner, we were brought Turkish coffee and tried custard and rice pudding, just two of the many dessert options. We finished the night off with some hot tea. We enjoy Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food and I have eaten this fare in many places including Afghanistan. The food, atmosphere and service were outstanding and some of the best we have ever experienced. We will be back. Definitely worth a visit, you will feel like part of the family.
Update #1
Well, it took us a little longer than we planned to get back. But, it was well worth the wait. Our return trip was every bit as outstanding as the first time we visited. Mehmet and his staff made us feel like family again. It seems like you are a guest in their home. We will be back again and we hope it won't be so long until the next time!
Update #2
Kabob House has definitely been added to our dining rotation. We had the Feta Cigars as an appetizer. Just fabulous! The mixed grill platter is amazing. We tried it with the shaved lamb instead of the Kufta. Dessert was Turkish Tea, a couple of pieces of Turkish Delight, and Pistachio Baklava. The atmosphere and music are wonderful. Yes, we will back! Many thanks to Mehmet and his staff for being so awesome to us and everyone who walks...
Read moreI use to frequent a Mediterranean restaurant in North Carolina. I recently moved back to Ohio. I was craving the same dish that I used to always get at the restaurant in NC. I found this place and I decided to give him a shot. When I walked in, I was alone and greeted by the owner himself. He asked me if it was my first time, I told him yes. He asked me if I eat steak, chicken, rice, salad and hummus. I said yes, to all the above. He said have a seat, here's a cup of soup, on and "I got your order." I asked him how did he know and he said, I own a restaurant. Being that it was called kabob House and the questions that were asked, I had a sinking feeling that I was going to get exactly what I was looking for. Sure enough, he came through with the clutch. Exactly what I wanted. Food was great and service was amazing. I don't even really eat hummus and it was actually even good. They have a little robot serving all the food which I thought was a nice little touch. And the environment and ambience was perfect. I got the mixed platter and it cost me $20. I don't know if the soup was included in that price or if it was just a complimentary soup. I assumed it was complimentary. When I was paying for my meal, the woman at the counter offered me a free Turkish coffee. In which I've never had one and so I absolutely said yes. It was basically an espresso but more refreshing. I was only out here for work so I may or may not be back. But if I am ever in town I will definitely be coming back here. I'd give it 10 stars if it...
