1 shared restroom which stinks and is dirty. Prepared food department is small, deli is overpriced and to big . Salad bar is minuscule compared to the other locations on route 224 . Dairy dept is good. Bakery dept very small with limited selection. Floral dept to small. Fresh produce is very good. Fresh meat and butchers are always very friendly and available during morning and afternoon periods, at night they are under staffed. Full service meats and seafood counter very friendly with a fair selection. Service counter personnel are excellent. Pharmacy is excellent. This store needs updating. Canfield and Poland locations are top notch where customers are treated like royalty . Closed the Get-n- Go , why? Several employees of 10-30 years have all said the same thing when asked " why their Giant Eagle store is so unsanitary?" ;
in effect, they all seem to respond that corporate doesn't give Boardman locations enough labor hours or employees to do the job right.
Notably, Giant Eagle's internal Team Member policy on safety / health / sanitary issues is:
" You See it. You Own it."
It would seem that this is not the case for either location in Boardman Township.
We have reached out to corporate with our comments & concerns and have yet to receive a response.
We also reached out to the Mahoning County Health Department and they have stopped at their two locations in Boardman several times since March 2019.

When I questioned her about that decision, her reply was that she didn't notice the wrong quantity of items, and even if she would she would'nt re-direct the customer to another cashier.
